Sorry, but I can't see none of the pictures posted by tbhrc via Supload in the Monaco forums. All I can get is a completely blank page.

This is a repeat of the message I posted in the How To Post Pictures sticky earlier today.
We've been getting warnings from members that some Supload photos are being replaced by pornographic images. This seems to be becoming more common recently.
If you see a photo or link with a problem like this in one of your own or anyone else's posts, please contact a forum moderator or administrator to remove it.
If you're using Supload for your photo hosting, you might want to check your albums fairly regularly to make sure that the photos are still as they should be; you might also want to give some consideration to moving your photos to another photo-hosting company. If you do decide to do this and you want to update the links or photos in any of your posts, please contact a forum moderator or administrator to assist you.

I was on supload today, and I noticed a whole string of pornographic images at the top and bottom of the page, where the advertisements are.
Is there anything that can be done about that, or is that just a random advertisement. Trust me, it was not pleasant to see, so if there are any steps that can be taken to remove it, they would be good to know.

We've seen that on some Supload photos here too, unfortunately. All we can really do is to advise our members to use some other site to store their photos. It'd be a huge undertaking to go through the whole of TRF and delete ever photo and link from Supload.

Broken and corrupted picture/video links
Am I the only one having trouble loading some picture links? For instance, the picture in this post always fails to load the first time, yet the second and third it always works. This has been a problem since Saturday. I'm using AOL Explorer, by the way.

It's okay for me. Have you deleted cookies or cache memory recently?

I'm using IE and it loaded first time. When a pic is linked to another site we're at the mercy of that site's server load, number of users, access ports, bandwidth, and speed of connection. Sometimes things won't link straightaway depending on these factors.

Well, the thing is it's not only that one link. It's been quite a few. And would it really help if I deleted cookies or cache memory? I don't know how to do that.

Well, it's up to you. When I used to do it on windows, sometimes it made my connections go faster but it's not always the case; it can slow you down too. Perhaps it'll go away without doing anything. It has probably nothing to do with your computer.

You should probably be clearing your browser cache (known as Temporary Internet Files) at intervals anyway; sometimes that's enough to stop some of these delays and glitches although not always. It's possible that the first time you click the link you're going to a cached version of the photo which didn't load.
Here's some information about clearing your cache.
How to Delete the Contents of the Temporary Internet Files Folder
If you clear cookies you'll lose any stored passwords, which is a pain, so I wouldn't do that unless you really want to. You just need to clear the temporary files (the browser cache); cookies are probably not relevant to this issue.
If you're connecting directly via AOL there's a fairly simple way to clear your cache, but I need to have my own computer up and running before I can give you step-by-step instructions since it's the only one of our computers with AOL loaded and it isn't working at the moment.

Broken picture/video links
Hello,
I've been reading this forum for quite a few weeks now and very much enjoy it, but I have one complaint: there are far too many broken picture and video links! It's extremely dissatisfying to read an old thread and not being able to see more than half of the pictures! Today, I went through the Spanish Royal Family video thread, where three quarters of the videos aren't working!
Is it possible to simply remove these dead posts or to report dead links? And would it be an option to point people to image hosting sites that don't delete images after a certain period of time? Maybe just allow one or two sites to be hosted from?
Please forgive me if this has been discussed - I looked at the titles of half the threads in this subforum, but didn't see anything related!
But, despite the criticism, thank you very much for some enjoyable reading and all the effort to keep this a clean, well-mannered forum!
Sandra

Hi Sandra,
Thanks for the feedback! We do have a team of admins and mods who check old threads for broken links and delete posts or replace the links. But the forum is huge and several years old, so it's a slow process.
We prefer that members use certain image-hosting sites over others, not least because a couple of them are susceptible to hacking and also tend to have a lot of popup ads, but it's up to individual members what they use. Since some of these image-hosting companies charge money for people to use their sites for larger numbers of photos, that has to be the individual choice of the person looking for somewhere to host photos.
If you come across a thread with an annoyingly large number of dead links, feel free to PM the forum mods and at least one of the admins, and someone will try to check it out.

Inappropriate Ads Via Photos
Hi everyone,
I was taking a look at the official photos of Crown Princess Victoria's engagement (found here: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...-20137-11.html).
When you click the links, as shown
http://img232.imagevenue.com/img.php..._122_470lo.jpg
http://img201.imagevenue.com/img.php..._122_190lo.jpg
etc., they take you right to the photo. However, inappropriate ads for porn websites or obscene "dating" site ads pop up. I discovered this by trying to click to enlarge the photo. On another, I didn't even have to click the picture, an ad just came up saying it was taking me to the photo, then showed a slew of really obscene photographs. I am not sure who is responsible for the links, or if they are unaware, they should be informed.

It hasn't happened for a while, but I just clicked on the link with Letizia wearing a tshirt from Mango, and when I closed the picture another link appeared, the sort I do not visit. This is about the 5th time and it is the same website (of the sort I do not visit)
It only happens on this website but I was wondering whether it is my firewall not working or what? Any help would be much appreciated.
