From the Glittering Royals message board, some pictures at the ceremony honouring King Olav. 22 out of 23 descendants were gathered in Hankø-sundet when HM King Harald honoured his father's sailing monument. Only Princess Ragnhild's daughter Ragnhild who lives in San Francisco was missing.

King Olav died January 17, 1991. Apparently he was very loved by the people of Norway.

King Harald placed a wreath at a monument to his father, the late King Olav, who often was called "the sailor king." He sailed all his life, took part in the Olympics and countless regattas, and loved summers on the sea.

I love the picture where Mette-Marit is holding Maud Angelica's tiny little hand.

I wonder if she feels "extra" pressure now to have kids since Martha Louise has had her first already and now Maxima is present with the heir to the Dutch throne, Japan has its next Emperess, and Belgian has "an heir and a spare" on the way.
