Thank you for the video!
I was quite disappointed to see that in many of the clips Lalla Salma still comes across as quite detached. She still doesn't seem fully comfortable with her role which is quite a negative sign. Unfortunately the sound went on the clip of her speech so I couldn't tell what her public speaking is like.

My guess would be that she was never introduced to the latest communication techniques and the Dos and Don'ts of doing a speech in public. She keeps looking at her piece of paper instead of making eye contact with her audience :).

Thank you for the link, Joumana...What a sad think I don't understand a word of Arab. My great-grandpa did, but me...
As other people here said, I'm happy that Princess lalla Salma is being so active. And I also noticed that the deep blue suits her a lot more than childish pink. She looked really stylish in these pics. I also noticed that she was sitting near a boy who seems to have conacer. Good for her. A Princess must be the mother of her people...and much more the mother of all the childs.

Deep blue is a great colour for Salma, but then I think she can pull off most jewel colours and suits very deep purples, maroons and greens!

i agree with u little_star. salma has nice suits but she often adds big or lot of accessories, which makes her look very busy. it doesn't leave space to appreciate either her suits or her jewells at one time. and after many years as a princess, she never recycles her suits

I am actually not surprised, all the arab first ladies are popular, but most of them not loved.
Princess Lalla Salma is loved because she came from common people, she has a warm and lovely personality, she has the image of the arab intelligent woman who made difficult studies for her own and not thanks to money of papa or so, and she doesn't make a lot of fuss around her on medias.
I have a jordanian friend, and when he knew my interest to Royals, he talked to me about princes Lalla Salma and told me she is his perefered arab first lady, I am surprised that they don't like Queen Noor in Jordan.

I'm surprised to see Salma on the list, her activities are minimal at best.

Here's a link to the website with information on the selection process, responsibilities etc.
Young Global Leaders:Recent News
Based on the criteria I find it very odd that Salma was chosen.
