some introductions of the royalty of Taiwan.
Taiwan is currently a republic country, and has not established an official monarchy of any type.

There are royal families, and noblities in the island, and over the past hundreds of years, they have preserved much Chinese traditional orders and virtues, and have remained prestigious throughout the centuries.

The Hwang family, a branch of the Huang family, which originated from mainland China, have much social influences and made much philanthropic act to the island.

The royal Huang family have existed in China as far back as 2148 B.C. From 2148 B.C to 648 B.C, Huang existed as a nation in China, under the rule of Xia dynasty until spring and autumn period in the Chinese history.

After the nation of Huang dissembled in 648 B.C, the descendents of the nation adopted Hwang/Huang as their family name.

Taiwan

Personally I'd just make a crown for Taiwan and ignore whatever the PRC says. It'd be fun while it lasts for the few seconds we have for the Kingdom/Empire of Taiwan.

Royalty in Taiwan?

The descendants of Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong, 1624-1661), who fought the Qing. They ruled Taiwan for 22 years (then known as the Kingdom of Tungning), after kicking out the Dutch. A descendant of Koxinga hid from the Qing and his branch survives to this day in Taiwan. The others were ordered back to the mainland, specifically on exile to Beijing.

My paternal grandmother was from one of the branches that went to Beijing. Tracing all the stories currently (will take some years but hopefully all finished by Koxinga's 400th birth anniversary in five years time).
