Thanks for the information!
I missed the link from the Prince David's website. Based on the DailyMail article, I would say that the British royals were a bit displeased with the situation. The present in question broke the protocol rules. I do know that DailyMail is not an accurate source of information. The tabloid could have been chosen to express displeasure though.

The Daily Mail, more often than not, likes to put a negative spin or at least, add negative comments about the British Royal Family in their articles. We don't know or probably will ever know if the Palace was displeased.

Prince Bagrat Bagration-Mukhransky passed away on 20 March 2017 in Marbella, aged 68.
He was the son of Prince Irakly Bagration-Mukhransky and of his second wife, née Princess Maria de las Mercedes of Bavaria, Infanta of Spain; he was born in Madrid on 12 January 1949.
He married firstly in 1976 to Maria del Carmen de Ulloa y Suelves, by whom he had one son, Juan Jorge, and one daughter, Ines. They divorced in 2005 and four years later he remarried to Françoise Cazaudehore.

It remains to be seen whether or no the restoration will happen.

Prince Nugzar Bagration of Georgia is the rightful contender to the throne of Georgia and the only Royal in Georgia I support for the throne.

Personally I find Georgia to be a rather interesting case in terms of possibility of restoration because you have the Church supporting the idea and heir apparents to the throne that are enthusiastic about becoming Czar of Georgia, only time will tell where this goes for the nation.

I think there is support for a restore. Especially since the two branches of the Royal family. I think after all this would be just a restoration of the monarchy. Prince Giorgi made already 6 years. I am curious to see what will happen in a few years.

Thanks for the update!
Congratulations to the couple!
As expected, Princess Kristine was beautiful. The tiara was lovely. It was great to see men wearing chokhas.

Must be weird to celebrate your religious wedding more than 4 years after you got married...

It is up to the couple to decided when to have a religious ceremony. Some people view a wedding service as a more serious step than a visit to a registry office.
The celebration was wonderful: happy guests and great Georgian dances. Princess Kristine was stunning.

Of course it is up to the couple and seeing a wedding service as more important I understand but why wait if it is that important - whether they like it or not, they have been married for over 4 years as it was the civil marriage (a visir to a registry office sounds as if it is an unimportant step that had no serious implications) when they made their commitment to each other according to the law of the land.
