Well, it should be noted that in an interviews he said that he favors the parliamentary system for Georgia and is seen very much against of the presidential system. If we take into note the fact that The Patriarch of All Georgia and All Georgians Ilia II has HUGE trust, love and authority in the country and is known for his opinion to re-establish the monarchism again, Prime Minister Ivanishvili would support the idea much more because the constitutional monarchy is very much close the the parliamentary system. It may take time of course to re-establish the monarchy again but the point here is that no one wants the current princes like David and his circle to be named like the KING but the society may support the restoration of the monarchy in case of if the newborn Prince Giorgi Bagration-Bagrationi will be brought up by the Georgian patriarch himself and in the walls of the Georgian Orthodox Church. That is the point here because it is ridiculous for most Georgians what Prince David or Princess Anna would do. What matters is that the generation continues and now the baby born to two Bagrationi branches should be brought up by the royal rules according to the Georgian traditions, soul and mentality what one should have. In this case the monarchy may be possible.

Romania, Greece and Serbia etc have their own subforums due to the number of threads within each, the variety of discussion topics they cover, and the degree of member interest and activity. The Royal House of Georgia thread is largely concerned with just three people (Prince Davit, Princess Anna and the one year-old Prince Giorgi), along with discussion of a Bagration restoration. Similar to the Royal Family of Albania thread, at this stage there is not sufficient content or diversity of topics to justify a stand-alone subforum.

What is exactly wrong with Prince David and his circle? He is supported The Patriarch of All Georgia and All Georgians Ilia II.

Hello Albina
Well, the thing is that he is not well-known by the general public and in this case Georgian patriarch's position for supporting HIM would not be met positively by the most Georgians
The only scenario would be if new-born Giorgi Bagration-Bagrationi will be raised by the Patriarch and by the Georgian Orthodox Church. It will take time but as I said it is possible in this case to think about the restoration.
Well, of course it is very good that the new prince was born and the two rival branches are now united under Bagration-Bagrationi, BUT no one will support whoever it may be to put an unknown guy on the throne. It is just impossible.
It will never happen that way. Only in case of raising the little prince may work

We shall see whether or not the restoration ever happens in Georgia. I doubt it.
On a different note... Russians and Georgian help children // KP.RU
The Georgian and Russian communities raised funds for the children oncological centres in Russia and USA. The fundraiser was organised by Princess Diana Bagrationi Foundation.

Well, I think that if the newborn child will be brought up by the Patriarchy and Church then it is very much possible.

They will certaintly raise the 1 year old heir Giorgi in Georgia's ways and religion, if not, their marriage would be meaningless.
i see high chances in the restoration, if they do what they need to do, the Monarchy will be restored again and little Giorgi will be crowned King, maybe at his 18 birthday?

I am not entirely certain what your comment means but the Royal House of Bagrationi (Bagratuni) has reigned in both our countries, and has existed as a noble house in Armenia even earlier. And yes, I do know the story of seven brothers.
