He worked in the foreign office, then the office of the interior, and is now a political advisor to the president. He has a degrees in international relations, security and defence, and also graduated from Sandhurst and the Albanian military academy basic training [may have briefly served in the military?]. He also is close to the Kosovo government. So like Serbia, Montenegro, and Romania he is not the monarch, but has a government role and after the wedding they will have a role similar to those other Balkan royals. He works with self-help humanitarian projects, orphans, and youth charities. He is a board member of the Royal University of Illyria, president of the golf association and an honourary member of the Olympic committee.

Certainly.

Based on those with whom the Albanian royal family has been close, possible attendees could come from the Bulgarian, Georgian, Italian, Montenegrin, Romanian and Russian houses. There used to be ties with the Spanish royal family, but those seem to have changed over the years.

It will be interesting to see the guest list.

Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia have come to Sweden, perhaps to plan for the wedding. Roger Lundgren has hosted them during the last couple of days.
