Thanks for all the updates! It certainly is interesting how they are so transparent with their wedding preparations. Any info if they broadcast it? I remember being very surprised about Georg Friedrich and Sophie letting rbb broadcast their wedding.
The photos of Leka at the tailor though. It must be very difficult to make a suit for him, because he is long and thin.

When Leka and Elia visited Stockholm, they gave interviews to the swedish media. Reporter Anna-Clara von Hofsten interviewed them to Svensk Damtidning. At the article is told, that there will be 600 guests at the wedding. Svensk Damtidning thinks that Carl Philip and Sofia are invited because Carl Philip met Leka and Elia at the Bernadotte Art Awards in 2012. Leka and Elia didn't want to tell which swedish royals are invited, due to security reasons. When the interview was done at the beginning of July, Elia told that she hadn't decided yet who will design her wedding dress, but the designer will be from Albania. She hadn't decided about the bridal bouquet either, but she likes white and crème, so perhaps those will be the colours. Ever since her years at the actor school Elia has loved lavender. She will have a tiara, a family heirloom of Leka's family. The couple will live at the royal residence in Tirana, which Leka owns privately. There is about 900 square meters to be filled with family life, and the couple doesn't hide that they want children. Leka says that of course they want to have children, he doesn't have any siblings, which is unfortunate, and they want that there will be someone to take the royal heritage further. But above all, having children would be fun. They are a little hesitant about how many children they want. Many, Leka says first, but says then that two would be adequate. And then he says that Elia would like to have twins, and Elia smiles: Do I? I didn't know that!
They have been a couple about 10 years and know each other very well. They both want to get Albania out of the poverty. Their wedding is of course mostly of their love, but they see it also as an occasion to promote their beloved land. So much is happening in Albania, it's developing fast, almost all young people speak english, Albania is a beautiful country with low prices in the middle of Europe.

I remember before they announced a date for the wedding, he thought about a particulary time and she was like 'uhm, no'. 
As to the guests, I think seeing them with Oscar Bernadotte gives us a hint who will come. Of course it would be good for the PR if CP and Sofia attend.
Btw I didn't realized that that 8th of October is King Zogs birthday.

The wedding is at 11.00 a.m, followed by a reception. Dress code: Uniform, Morning Coat or Lounge Suit.
And there is a dinner at 8.00 p.m. Dress code: White tie.

Does anyone have any idea about how the wedding last weekend was perceived by the Albanians themselves? Did it receive extensive media coverage within the country (apart from the inevitable cooing/tutting over the dress/tiara et cetera)? Did the public turn out to see the couple? If the referendum on the restoration of the monarchy was indeed rigged, one would have thought that this would be an occasion when those in favour of a monarchy would have been able to demonstrate their support.

I also wanted to know how the Albanians saw this wedding. Will there be a new referendum to decide between monarchy and Republic?

From what I have gathered at social media, the opinions are very mixed, from people who would like to see Leka as King to people who curse on Zog and his family (usually the 'he is a traitor, thief etc.). I doubt the wedding will spark another referendum, BUT it gave the Royal Family more attention. Older people remember the Zogs, but younger people have no clue about them.
