I read years ago a biography of the lives of the Aga Khans, it is called "Throne of Gold"
by Anne Edwards, I have always been a big fan of the Aga Khans & descendants, also the one that married Hollywood star of the 50's and 60's Rita Hayworth, their marriage was a big story at that time and I have the old photographs of their wedding & family, including The Begum. Keep in touch!

Yes, she is. Her father Prince Ali Salman Aga Khan and mother Rita Hayworth were married from May 1949 to 1953. Princess Yasmin was born in December 1949.

"I was raised as a Catholic and as an Ismaili. My father felt that I should have some training in Islam, but my mother was a Catholic, so really, I was raised with both".

The Key to the City of Toronto was awarded to Aga Khan at a special ceremony hosted at the Ismaili Centre in Toronto, during which a segment of Wynford Drive was ceremonially named Aga Khan Boulevard.

Prince Amyn accepted the honours on behalf of Aga Khan and thanked Mayor John Tory and the City of Toronto for the special gesture.
