Anyways, Many thanks to LENA:) who posted the link on the SRMB
Pffft... A drop in the sea compared to how the BRF's official websites are made... :) But it's a start, a step in the right direction... Hopefully they'll become better and make more efforts around the website, in our day and age it's really important.

Expressen today publishes a guestlist but it seems totally like they made it up, especially the Denmark part is strange

It says, Margrethe, Henrik, Frederik, Mary, Joachim, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Benedikte, Nikolai, Felix will come. As we know all those cant be out of the country for two days, somone has to be regent, and why would Joachims exwife be invited and what would the children do in such a birthday party, and its not like Joachim and ALex are afraid to let the nannies take care of the children

It continues with Norway it says Harald, Sonja, Haakon and Mette-Marit will attend which they will then they say Ingrid and Sverre Magnus will come and then Märtha Louise, ML is currently in USA for a month on tour and wont attend, and why would they bring Ingird Sverre Magnus is still breastfed so it makes sense to bring him

Then they say Queen Beatrix of Belgium will come (as we know they have Queensday in the netherlands those days)

Juan Carlos, Sofia and Felipe (nothing about Letizia and why not Leonor when the danes are brining the total package)

Willem Alexander will come (without Maxima) again makes no sense

All in all it seems the expressen jounralist must have been drunk making this list and I doubt it is anything official, it seems more like name all the royal I know in Europe

Sounds weird... I guess we just have to wait for the official guestlist :)

About the Danes; perhaps they have the same "rule" as the swedes. As long as the King/crownprincess can be back in the country within a couple of hours (= It takes 2 hours top to get from Stockholm to Copenhagen) its ok for the whole family to be out of the country

Oh Larzen, did you HAVE to spoil the party by your critical nitpicking ??

I was enjoying the thought of all these royals at one place. (Oh no, the perfect occasion for evil, republican people to throw a bomb )

Queen of Belgium, well she could have been if the Netherlands weren't split.

I guess we just have to wait for a more official guest list to be published.

If Leonor and Letizia and also Maxima and the girls stay at home it makes sense. But Mary and Frederik without Christian are supposed to attend ??

Is the poor bugger on the bottle already

Queen Beatrix had Queen's Day when Carl Gustaf turned 50 as well, but she arrived in Sweden after having taken part in the celebrations in The Netherlands first. So it's not impossible that she will come, she did the last time.

But I agree with you, I think that Expressen's list is mostly speculations. The official gueslist, if there will be one released, will probably not be made public until a few days around King Carl Gustaf's birthday

I was to until I started reading it once more, what would children like Nikolai and Felix do in a 60th birthdayparty, there are many years since they were breastfead AFAIK. And Princess Elizabeth, when has she ever attended celebrations abroad? Also I would rude to Joachim to invite his ex-wife for a party like this It seems like the Expressobladet *cough*reporter*cough* just went to the danish royal web page and copied all the names that were there

I think Maximas children has been on the bottle(and solids) for along time already, it is no reason for her not to go if her husband is going, the same with Letizia. I ofocurse hope they will all come, more to look at for us

BTW billedbladet says that Margrethe and Henrik will go, I dont think they would have written it if it was not confirmed, they are usually right about such things.

Was the list of guests published in the official website? I want Letizia and Maxima to come! Especially if it's going to be a tiaras-dinner. Letizia left Leonor alone a few times, even for a night, so why couldn't she go this time? And Alexia is already a big girl, so she could stay home with nanny and older sister

if you think about it, how cute would it be if all the (married) crown princesses / crown princes would take their children (Elisabeth, Gabriel, Emmanuel, Amalia, Alexia, Leonor, Christian, Ingrid-Alexandra, Sverre Magnus and Marius...

and I hope their will be a tiara event.. if all the crownprincesses are there, it means 6 tiara's... (and that is without queens, princesses and infanta's)

wow...

I have to correct myself btw, although the dutch Queensday is always on april 30, when that date is on a sunday we celebrate it the day before! So the Queen can be present on sunday april 30 anyway :)
I do not expect that Letizia and Maxima will be staying home while their husbands are attending the celebrations, probably some mistakes in the guestlist.
I hope it will be as jubilant as the kings 50th birthday party, which was the most glittering occassion of the 90-ties.

I'm surprised that they didn't put in any deceased royals, too!

The list does seem erratic at best. But I hope that as this is a multi-day celebration, we'll get to see all of the royals show up to celebrate with the King, even if it's for only an afternoon or an evening.

It's not everyday that one turns 60 and certainly the Swedes know how to throw a party, so I'm sure it would be a good time!

In case of the Spanish Royal Family they have little felt. First because the King and the Prince are in the habit of coming to few united acts, till now I believe that only they have come together to the weddings of the princes of Greece because they are direct nephews of the Queen Sofia.
Also it is strange that the Prince comes and Letizia does not do it.
If we send ourselves to previous acts or it comes the Kings, or it is done by the Queen accompanied by the Princes or someone of the Infantas.

It's true that we don't often see the King of Spain attend these events, but it seems like Felipe is usually at the weddings of other royals (at least the crown princes), so maybe he'll come to a birthday party, too.

I do, however, remember seeing pictures from Carl Gustaf's 40th B-day and from the King and Queen of Norway's 60th birthday and Juan Carlos was at both of them, so maybe there is some hope, even though those two events happened a long time ago.

In conjunction with his birthday celebration H.M. The King is hosting a seminar "From alienation to belonging" in the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace. The King wishes to highlight the extensive multifaceted work that is ongoing to support youths in socially underprivileged circumstances. He also wishes to emphasize the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate youths who have drifted away from society. Belief in the future and taking responsibility Youths and youth leaders from all over the country have been invited to share their experience. They will discuss the importance of developing interests and being passionate about them, about how to conquer feelings of alienation and how to create belief in the future amongst youths. They will also look at how youths are engaged in work to develop feelings of respect, responsibility and democracy - how to build bridges between groups and generations in society and how to create positive role models. Bridge Builders and the Calm Street Project The King has asked Fryshuset to arrange the seminar. Fryshuset's Anders Carlberg will moderate the discussion between youths and youth leaders. Representatives from a number of Fryshuset's different operations will be present: Bridge Builders, Fryshuset's Knowledge Center, Elektra/Sharafs Heroes, Exit, the Calm Street Project, Navigator and United Sisters. Representatives from the Swedish parliament, government, the educational system and other organizations have been invited.

Celebration of H.M. The King's 60th birthday will take place over three days: April 28-30:
Friday, April 28
The King is hosting a seminar with the theme "From alienation to belonging". Youths and youth leaders from all over the country have been invited. The seminar will take place at the Royal Palace.
Saturday, April 29
A private birthday dinner celebration will be held at Drottningholm Palace.
Sunday, April 30
Starts off with Te Deum at the Royal Chapel.
Afterwards The King, as is tradition, will attend the changing of the guards in the Outer Courtyard. The public will have the opportunity to congratulate The King at 13:00 at Lejonbacken at the musical celebration by Adolf Fredrik Choir School and the Swedish Armed Forces Orchestra.
This is followed by a lunch hosted by the Parlament at the Stockholm City Hall at 14:00. The Royal Family will be transported by horse-drawn cortège to the City Hall. The day ends with a Jubilee concert in the Hall of State for invited guests, followed by a gala dinner in the White Sea Hall.

About Spain, my guess is that Queen Sofia, the Princes of Asturias and the Dukes of Palma will come because they are the ones that usually go to other royal's celebrations

I'm excited for the royal gathering. I'm really hoping that more of the younger royal crowd might show up so we can get some really great pictures of the second generation together.

Dagens Media today reports that the King will give two personal interviews that will be recorded and aired around his 60th birthday. Both TV4 and SVT have been granted one interview each

TV4 will also make a special jubilee programme about the King which will also be aired sometime around the big birthday, and SVT will air live from the celebrations in Stockholm.

German ZDF will air the most live, three hours in total from the celebrations, and Swedish Radio will air two hours live.

The Director of the Information and Press Department, Nina Eldh, says to Dagens Media that the Royal Court have been forced to turn down many journalists due to the big interest from so many. From practical reasons it’s not possible for the King to do everything they wish him too. It’s not yet established how many foreign members of the press will come to Stockholm.

Next week the official guest list of Heads of States and Royal Families will be published.

the guest list seems totally weird to me as well. some princesses are coming, some are not, some princes go alone, some princesses going alone without their husbands... i really hope at the end letizia, maxima and frederik can come! there wouldn't be so much glitter there without two of the 5 most known crown princesses in europe...
when do you think they will release an official guest list? what's the protocol in sweden?

seems late april will be a really royal time with so many royal state visits and with the celebrations of the king!

As said before the guestlist from Expressen is nothing serious, and GrandDuchess has written the OFFICIAL guestlist will be released next week so we have to wait for that to be sure. Lets hope the dutch and and several spanish couples come as well as Caroline of Monaco, they always looks spectacular

I dont think Frederik will come; From 28-30 april the 2. series in the European Circuit of the Farr 40 is held in Capri in Italy, he already took part in the first Circuit in Saint Tropez with his boat Nanoq (I guess this is the reason he is not going and only Mary is mentioned in thei calendar)
