The president of Portugal, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, and his wife, Maria, received this evening in Madeira's airport the King and Queen of Spain at their arrival to the island for a visit of three days, and immediately the agent chief executive expressed his condolences and solidarity to them for both ETA'S attempts.

Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía support the agenda of this trip, after the Monarch in the early afternoon and after knowing the terrorist act perpetrated today in Palmanova (Mallorca), which has cost the life to two civil guards, was expressing his condemnation and horror for the facts.

They should have gone to Madeira in two/three days, because I could see them ahahah :)

I just love Queen Sophia, always with her camera ;)
Bless her

They already left the island?
They travelled from Madeira to Porto Santo by plane or by the boat, Lobo Marinho?

The portuguese press said that one of the "pearls" of the trip was between the First Lady and the Queen in Cape Girão, because the Queen was afraid because it is too high and the First Lady held her so she wouldn't fall :)
I haven't find anything about this online, I heard this on the television.

i couldn't take pics from the kings in the streets of Porto Santo because of the security but there are some taken by me from the island and where the kings had lunched.
The security toke place in the streets about 7am and nobody could park in the streets. Police men took off the trash bins so people couldn't put any bomb.

Yes, I heard it too :flowers:. The first lady told the Queen to take pictures from the the Cape (because it's a beautiful high place to take pictures from) and the Queen said something as "oh nooo, not from here!" :D so the first lady held the Queen's waist and the Queen took the pictures.

I have some news from a portuguese magazine, but I don't have it now with me. I'll post them later :)
