may i add to your sentence... that he travelled to Botswana to shoot an elephant in times of crisis whilst being the spanish patron of the world wildlife fund - which was the epitome of hypocrisy and inconsistency!

i have to also add that people will also remember him as the king under which the worst modern case of royal corruption has occured (that of his daughter), and his inability to put an end to their corruption and fraud. he mentions in his france 3 interview that being dyslexic he believes he developed other skills, such as those of intuition, which i guess probably helped him figure out what was going on - and he failed to take action, apart from sending inaki and cristina outside of spain, to the US.
he did good things for spain, but unfortunately his reign did not end in the best of manners.

Ekstra Bladet reports today thay ex-king Juan Carlos was observed (and photographed) at a restaurant at Rungsted Harbor (a more posh part of Copenhagen) together with some Danish friends.
His wife however, wasn't there.
