Grand Duke Henri is visiting Poland again, on 3 and 4 June, to take part in the official commemorations of the 25th anniversary of the first (partially) free elections in Poland. Other royal guests include the King and Queen of Belgium and Earl of Wessex. Besides that, several dozen of republican heads of state and government, including President Barack Obama of the United States. The Grand Duke joins the Presidential Couple of Poland and the Royal couple of Belgium at the celebratory mass in St John's Archcathedral, concelebrated by the Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Scretary of State and official representative of the Pope at the event:

On the 100th birthday dedicated the Luxembourg Rose Friends the Luxembourg Red Cross, a new rose, which was given the name "Aline Mayrisch Rose".
HRH the Groβherzogin of Luxembourg took over the sponsorship of the new rose.
The Rose baptism took place on Wednesday, instead of June 4, 2014, at the Schlossberg. Invited were representatives of the Luxembourg Red Cross and the Luxembourg Rose friends.

Oh, shame she didn't make use of her privilege du blanc! i believe it's the first time she hasn't wore white for a pope audience. maybe the reason of her audience was not because of her being the Grand duchess but rather maybe due to her humanitarian commitments and hence she chose a non white outfit to fit with the purpose of the meeting?
 
I like how she adapts herself to the situation, since the Pope is South American she speaks Spanish with him even though she speaks about six other languages including French, German, Luxembourgish, English, Italian and of course her native tongue Spanish.
 
Maria Teresa is just amazing. She can indeed adapt herself to any social or diplomatic situation with grace and aplomb.:)

And I believe the reason she did not arrive in full privilege du blanc is because it was a brief and informal visit.

What is the reason for the Vatican visit? It seems odd that Grand Duchess of Luxembourg would come for a brief chat about her family.

There was, they said it was to treat an injury on her right knee, however, they didn't specify what kind of injury.
