Henri and Maria Teresa were married on February 14, 1981. The anniverary celebration was delayed until June to coincide with the opening of the new museum.

The Swedish King and Queen did not attend Henri & MT's wedding. They were represented by one of the King's sisters; I believe it was Princess Cristina. The only other major royals attending today that were at the wedding are Queen Fabiola and Princess Margriet of the Netherlands.

The Wedding was also attended by Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark, Prince Rainier III. and Princess Gracia of Monaco, Prince Philip Great Britain, Duke of Edinburgh, the then Hereditary Prince Hans Adam and Hereditary Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, King Olaf V. of Norway, King Baudouin I. of the Belgians, Infanta Margarita of Spain and Dr. Carlos Zurita

The famout I.M. Pei is the architect for the Mudam Museum. He is the one that designed the Pyramids du Louvre in Paris. Here's pictures of him & some of the museum (from Polfoto)

It's nice to know that the reason she stayed back is not that someone is sick or something. She has really had a hectic month with the Spanish state visit, the Thailand trip, and the Crowning journey, so it's probably nice for her to have a break and stay home for awhile.

Grand Duke Jean is 85 age and alert! He is warmest to his oldest son Henri and love Maria Teresa of Luxemburg. Grand Duke Jean is much happy his 25th wedding anniversary !!!! Wow wow dress Queen Silvia see out beautiful!!!

It does not seem to you a little strange that Mette does not go?

We don't know the reason why Mette-Marit stayed behind. She could be sick or one of her kids could be sick.

Besides, nothing states that couples must go to every event together. I'm sure that Haakon would've liked to share these two days with his wife, but I'm sure that he is doing fine on his own, too.

There have been many occasions in the past where only one half of a couple, kings and queens and crown princes and crown princesses alike, goes to a formal event. For example, only Queen Sofia went to the Thailand celebrations and only Mary and Henrik went to the Swedish celebrations. Juan Carlos, Frederik and Margrethe had their reasons for staying behind then just as I'm sure Mette-Marit has a reason for staying behind now.

several more picture from Getty of HGD Guillaume on last night concert at the Grand Theatre de la Ville

Mette-Marit is still breast feeding and too much travel is not recommended. She and the baby have had an very busy month and staying home is probably wise. The GD couple have five children - they most certainly will understand and support her.

Great sequence of photos!!! I think Mary and the Marie-Therese looked beautifull, charming and fresh in both occasions...They looked absolutleygorgeus!!! Rosario Nadal always a elegant person, but this time looked very thin and pale....

Wow!!! Mary looks gorgeous!! MT and Henri look beautiful and so happy!! And Mathilde! She looks great!! I can't wait for tonight. How many more hours to go? About 2 or so??

Those are amazing pictures, thanks to all who posted them. Grand Duchess Maria Theresa looks really nice in the white evening dress. Can´t wait for tonights reception!

Henri de Ligne (1989) with his parents Michel de Ligne and Eleonora "Leonor" Maria of Orleans-Bragança.

Michel is the first cousin of Grand Duke Henri. His mother, Princess Alix, is Grand Duke Jean's sister.

Thanks for helping to answer my question Lindy!:D

Hmm...I don't particularly like MT's outfit today, but I love Mary's outfit.

Thanks to everyone who is posting news and pictures.:)

Maria Teresa look sooo beautiful in the white dress. And of course Mary look gorgeous as always......

Wooow. I have two weeks of break and for all these time I was wondering how it will be? or what I will see on this event? I must say that I'm impress for that what I saw today on these photos.
