King Albert with Queen Paola celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in Jerusalem, Israel

"They were spotted on Tuesday in Jerusalem, the birthplace of Jewish and Christianity. They visited the Holy Sepulcher Church in the walled old city and were given a one-hour private guide by a Franciscan priest.. According to tradition, it was built on the spot where Christ would have been crucified and buried as well as risen, the Holy Sepulcher. It has been an important pilgrimage site for centuries ."

I remember he wore a black Tie ten years ago for the New year Wishes.
King Albert II is the very last one of Queen Astrid Children .
A lot of family Souvenirs.
But I don't kow if the Prince de Liège visited his Father at Argenteuil Castle .
Prince Allexandre was his half Brother. He had to wait 7 years to annonce his Wedding. He did it when Esmeralda announced hers
I was told the Princess Lilian did not want to go to Princess Esmeralda Wedding. The King said you come with Me and She was there (in London).
Both Alexandre and Esmeralda were/are happy Weddings

Its nice to see King Albert and Queen Paola out and about again!

On December 16, Queen Paola and King Albert attended the traditional gala evening of the Queen Paola Foundation at the Royal Opera of Wallonia-Liège:

Wow I've never seen Belvedere but from the size of that hallway it looks big!

Same day as the Christmas Concert at the Royal Palace.

It is one of the residences that belong to the Royal Donation Trust, an independent public trust created under the terms of King Léopold Ii’s will on the condition that the properties transferred to the trust remained in perpetuity at the disposal of his successors on the Belgian throne.

It looks awesome. This is my first to see it too.

I don't recall many photos being released from inside the Belvedere Palace before.

There where a few from pricnes Astrid's engagement. A few of the couple inside and then more with their Families on the Terrace.

You are right ! The first pictures of Prince Philippe, Astrid and Laurent.
All the others outside on the Terrace..
When Albert was Prince de Liege Belvedère had no security. It was placed when Belvedère was the King's Palace.

No, King Albert II should be there , perhaps he was ill.
I am happy she came for this important and rare Event;

I wonder who was the lady with dark hair and glasses.

PS In this Cathedral you have the greatest painting ever : l'agneau Mystique de Jan Van Eyck found back in the salt mines after WW2

Private visit of King Albert and Queen Paola to the 65 degrees association in Brussels. This non-profit association, founded in 2018, pursues an objective of integration and professional training for people with mental disabilities.

Good for them. I wonder what prompted this little outing? It looks like they are with another couple. https://www.65degres.be/en
"65 degrees, non profit association founded in 2018, has a mission of inclusion of handicapped people in a great restaurant.
It employs a total of 10 employees, out of which 7 bear a mental handicap (Down Syndrom, Autism, ...)

The main activity is commercial, but not for profit. Together with its staff, the restaurant's goal is to delight its customers with great food and even greater welcome. By choosing Avenue Louise as it's home, we are making a statement, that difference should be celebrated, not hidden or avoided."

The other elder man is Count de Traux de Wardin.
He is, among others, the chairman of the Queen Paola Foundation.

They do know each other well and for a long time.
I don't know if the lady is his wife, I don't know her.

The project fits in with the atmosphere of the Queen Paola Foundation, but it can also be just a nice getaway with the four of them.
It is not an official event, nor reported on the official website of the Royal Family. It is just a private visit.

King Albert was scheduled to visit Volvo in Ghent today, March 11. But "considering the latest developments in relation to the Covid-19 and in the spirit of the recommendations of the authorities", the Palace has decided to postpone the visit, the item was removed from the agenda today.

It makes sense. All senior citizens are being advised to stay at home and avoid social contact. That should apply to royals too.

I know it is politically delicate for reigning monarchs like Elizabeth II, Margrethe II ot Harald V to limit social contact, but they should follow the same guidelines as other people in their age bracket.

Thank you both for the information.
A visit inspired by the foundation and an outing purely to socialize both seem like possible interpretations (as the official website does not always report charitable visits by members of the royal family), or alternatively, it could be a convenient combination of the two.
