Thanks for the pics !
Sonja really resembles both of her children very much . Sometimes it's more Haakon , sometimes Märtha . It's funny .

A Gallery of Sonja's early years:
Destined to be a queen - Aftenposten.no
I think it must have been so hard to be the "secret girlfriend" for so many years... Sonja once said she didn't feel welcome in the Family at all, as the King didn't want to meet his son's girlfriend. Olav wanted Harald to marry a Princess instead.
She looks like Märtha here: http://media.aftenposten.no/archive/...pg_574141g.jpg

Especially because the Royal House was really male-dominated this time.
And because of Sonja's stillbirths.

I don't know why I never knew Sonja's last name was Haraldsen. What a coincidence.

Oh my goodness, how charming and pretty and good-looking and elegant Queen Sonja was already as a child and young girl and so kind and amiable ! Yes, one can see that she was born for a quite special destiny.

You always find the best old pictures, Her Majesty. Do you know if there is a video of this interview?
Never mind, I just found where you had the video posted in a different thread. Thanks.
