Today, April 1, Queen Sonja visited Ukrainian refugees and Caritas Norway for a briefing on their work in Ukraine, neighbouring countries and in Norway.

"It made a strong impression to meet those who have experienced the cruel war in Ukraine. They are happy to be safe. It's one thing to be safe - it's another to have a home. The home is only here so far. Everyone hopes and wishes that this cruel war will soon end - in one way or another", Queen Sonja is quoted saying.

Official visit of Queen Sonja to United States: 13-16 October

"To highlight the strong ties to the Norwegian-American community in the USA, Her Majesty Queen Sonja will visit the state of Minnesota from 13 to 16 October.
Among other things, the Queen will visit St. Olaf College, which was founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1874. The Queen will also participate in the commemoration of Mindekirken's centenary, visit Norway House in Minneapolis and meet Minnesota's Governor Tim Walz."
