The Palace has released an update concerning the King's illness:

His Majesty the King is being treated for an infection

His Majesty the King has been diagnosed with an infection which must be treated with intravenous antibiotics, and will therefore remain at Rikshospitalet for a few days. The condition is stable.

Today, VG reports that the king left the hospital in a palace limousine.

"His Majesty the King has already been discharged from the National Hospital. The King is recovering but will rest for a few days," the royal household wrote in a press release.
