Because there was nom State-Visit between the Netherlands and Norway since she has marred. There was also no State Visit between Norway and Denmark but Crown Princess Mary got her one at the official Visit of the norwegian Royal Family to Denmark in November 2005.

Sonja, Christina, and perhaps Anne also, look the most elegant.
Interesting to see Anne, Timothy and Edward standing directly behind the King and Queen in the group photo.

Mette: The dress is allright; I think she looked better last night
Maxima: looks fantastic. Love the tiara and I think the dress is perfect for her.
Mathilde: Dislike the dress but everything else is perfect: gloves, hair, jewels
Mary: looks very lovely
Madeleine: Looks good but weird that she recycled the outfit so soon.
Victoria: Don't really like the dress
Silvia: Great dress but she really has worn it too much hasn't she
Sonja: Looks wonderful. That parure is my favorite.
Maria Teresa: looks ok; I think her hair is pulled back to tight
Alexia, Mabel, Martha Louise and Anne Marie all look nice tonight

It's great to see the princesses at these events, I can imagine trying to look elegant and beautiful when it must be so cold would be difficult, but they all managed. Ari Behn has changed a lot over the years, I prefer his hair short.

My goodness! Thank you so much for pointing that out. I was just looking at the group photo and saw Mabel in the back ground with a dress. Your 100% right. My apologies to Mabel but what was Astrid thinking?

Again, second round kudos to Anne:
ANP Beeldbank
As long as she immediately rids herself of her funky wrap at the door, we get to see how a royal-born princess should dress. Cheers!
Mathilde looked beautiful -- like a fairy queen. I really liked the daring dress.
However, Martha looked like she robbed my granny's sofa of its upholstery and had the royal seamstresses stitch it up into her gown. Not a good choice. I did like the body-hugging sheath, but not the "my car is being washed" detail on the bottom. You are probably familiar with the cloth strips that wash your car in an automatic car wash. That's what her dress reminded me of -- Granny's sofa goes for a rinse at the car wash. I know, ouch!

My opinion:
The Princesses` dresses:
Mette-Marit: She surprised me alot during the last 3 days! Three galas: three stunning dresses. I think this current one looks extremely lovely! It's a great choice! Thumbs up!
Mary: I'm glad she recycled this dress! It's just fabulous!
Mathilde: I don't know exactely why, but I don't really like the dress. The upper part is lovely (also the gloves) but the skirt is just "too much".
Máxima: Wonderful! This dress looks a million times better this time then the last time she wore it! Her hair looks lovely and finally(!) she wore the Pearl Tiara!
Märtha-Louise: The same as MM: 3 galas->3 stunning dresses! This one is the most beautiful one! She didn't disappoint!
Astrid: I have no words...
Victoria and Madeleine: Victoria's dress was nice, but nothing special. I love Madeleine's style! She looks better then on the Nobel day!
The older Generation:
Sonja: The dress is much better then the white one yesterday! She looked great! Beautiful and elegant! She's just my favourite.
Silvia: Nice, but a bit boring since she just wore it some weeks ago...
Maria-T: Wonderful creation! It suits her alot! She's one of the winners tonight!

Anne's gown is O.k but I'm convinced she'd look younger if she took her hair down.

Anne looks great without the fur. Why on earth did she wear the fur for the pic? And Anne appears to be wearing her Order of the Thistle. Why not the Garter? Any pics of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester yet?

Are there any pictures of Madeleine in the recycled Nobel dress? I've heard quite a few of you say she looks better than she did that night, and since I thought she was drop-dead gorgeous THEN, I'm dying to see what she looks like now.
Mary looked amazing, I love that dress on her. Mette-Marit's dress would have been prettier if the top was the same color as the bottom. A bit of a disappointment after what she wore last night. Martha looked amazing, that woman knows how to dress. I'd like to see what Mabel looks like because after that absolutely horrible dress she wore to the concert, I'd like to think she redeemed herself.

I agree. Mary looks very beautiful, regal and elegant. She looks like a queen!
I always love that dress on her. Red velvet is definitely her colour!

Preliminary fashion verdict from VG
- Hun utstråler friskhet og ungdom
Märtha, a great improvement from yesterday, she exudes youth and freshness, her hairdo gives her a touch of 50s glam, much better than yesterday
Mette-Marit is stylish and gourgous in a cream and pink dress, short sleeves and high waiste gives the dress a almost graphic expression, though not as great as yesterday, the grey dream dress yesterday with the draped waiste had the little extra this dress misses
Madeleine: it is exciting to see Madeleine is something other than pastels, the dress is low cut but nicely within the clothes codex, the sober colour gives her a demure elgance, she seems older and more mature in this dress
Sonja, a fashionable empirecut dress that has the little details and exudes elegance and dignety
Mary, She has chosen dark dresses for both occasions, the dress suits her skin colour well, it is more safe and subdued than we are used to from MAry, but it might have something to do with the pregnancy
Maxima, she has chosen a contemporary pregnancygown in light chiffon, the colour is a bit anonymous on her

Okay, I'm probably going to get yelled at for asking this but in looking at the "younger generation" group photo, it looks to me that Mette-Marit is expecting again? Who is pregnant and when are they due? I thought they all looked stunning...

I saw one picture of The Duchess of Gloucester walked along with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, i think she wore the same dress as well as tiara she wore at the Lord Mayor's Dinner during the Norwegian Official Visit in October 2005.

Okay, I've just seen a photo of Madeleine. Didn't think she could top herself from the Nobel Awards, but she did. AMAZING. I'm one of the few people it looks like who didn't think she looked all that bad at the concert last night, so for me this is just a continuation of her looking good at this event.
I'm waiting to see if Mabel redeemed herself.

Mary and Maxima are due. Mary in May and I believe Maxima in late March/early April.
