HM The Queen pays an official visit to Berlin on 9-10th September 2014 In this connection, inaugurating the exhibition "Die Wikinger".
The queen is responsible for the official opening of the exhibition Tuesday, September 9 in the company of the German Federal President Joachim Gauck.
"Die Wikinger" was created in collaboration between the Museum of Vor- und Frühgeschichte in Berlin, the British Museum and the National Museum in Copenhagen. Part of the exhibition counter 'Roskilde 6', which is the longest Viking ship found.
The original exhibition from Copenhagen and London on the occasion of the new exhibition in Berlin has been expanded with the largest reconstruction of a Viking "Havhesten from Glendalough" the measure of the Danish Embassy in Berlin and the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde. Viking ship calling at Berlin via the River Spree 6 September, was launched in 2004 with the participation of the Queen.
In connection with the official visit to the queen also sitting Berlin's mayor, Klaus Wowereit, at the Brandenburg Gate, visit the Danish church, Christian Church and the Castle Park in Potsdam accompanied by Brandenburg's Minister Dietmar Woidke. In addition, the Queen visits to artist Olafur Eliasson in his studio in Berlin.

Visit the Viking ship "Sea Stallion"

The queen received by Germany's Federal President Joachim Gauck and his wife. During the visit to the Viking ship Sea Stallion will among other things be tour of the ship.
Visit the Martin-Gropius-Bau

The Queen visits the exhibition "Die Wikinger" and, upon arrival reception by the Federal President and his wife and Professor Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.

The queen is responsible for the official opening of the Viking exhibition "Die Wikinger" in the company of the Federal President. During the opening ceremony will among other things be music and speeches.
Dinner at Schloss Bellevue

The Federal President and his wife have hosted a dinner at Schloss Bellevue.

Visit the Neues Museum

Queen visits Neues Museum will upon arrival be greeted by Professor Parzinger.
Visit the Pariser Platz

Queen and Reigning mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit will walk across the Pariser Platz and continue through the Brandenburg Gate.
Visit the Rotes Rathaus
Kl. 12:30
Queen visits Berlin's city hall, where Reigning mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit subsequently will host a luncheon in Säulensaal.
Visit the Christian Church

The Queen visits the Danish church in Berlin, where the priest Iben Vinther Nordestgaard will talk about the church and church work.
Visit the Charlottenhof in Potsdam Sanssouci
Kl. 16:00
The queen received by Brandenburg's Minister Dietmar Woidke and Professor Hartmut Dorgerloh, Director General Stiftung Preussische Schlösser und Gärten, and will subsequently be shown around the castle. The visit ends with a stroll in the park.

Yes the red was a great choice to be spotted. A pity that P.Henrik is not on this visit and it's also a pity that it is a short visit. Thanks for the large gallery of pictures of day 1.
