My translation of an article about today's press meeting from DR:
Focus on grandchildren at the wine castle Caïx
Crown Princess Mary’s coming childbirth was in focus when Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik invited to the yearly press meeting at the wine castle Caïx on Thursday.
For Queen Margrethe, it’s not essential that Crown Prince Fredrik and Crown Princess Mary’s first child will be a boy who can become King of Denmark one day, without having to change the rules of the succession to the throne.
- We are a family. Girl or boy – it’s a child, said Queen Margrethe, when she arm in arm with Prince Henrik met the big group of journalists and photographers for the annual press meeting on Thursday, that started the summer holiday at the vine castle Caïx for the regent couple.
The Queen denied to tell if she in advance have been notified of the child’s sex, but emphasized that she is very happy to become a grandmother again.
Continuously slender Mary
Flanked by the two dachshunds Evita and Saga and the Labrador Pollock, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik received to a press meeting that mostly came to be about Crown Princess Mary and the coming childbirth in October.
The Queen said that Crown Princess Mary is in really good shape, and that she therefore is not troubled by the pregnancy. Prince Henrik stated that his daughter in law was very slender as a pregnant woman.
Princess Alexandra’s new “friend”
Queen Margrethe was also asked if she knows that Princess Alexandra has a new boyfriend – the 26 year old portrait photographer Martin Jørgensen, which the weekly Se & Hør and Ekstra Bladet could tell about on Thursday.
The Queen let the press know that she was familiar with the Princess’ new “friend”, and that she had not read either Se & Hør or Ekstra Bladet, and that she does not interfere with Alexandra’s personal life.
The back is doing better
About her own health, the Queen said that the back problems she has been dealing with during the summer are better.
After the press meeting, Prince Henrik showed the journalists and photographers around the vineyard, before the regent couple invited them to join them for a glass of wine in the castle’s wine cellar.
The Prince looks optimistically at this year’s harvest, which he though expects will be smaller than last year’s. The couple will remain at Caïx until 26 August.

She is such a lovely lady, and quite attractive - but she should do to the dentist.

That how you look at it. I dont think that BT or EB are very trustworthy at all. They have really many stories based on rumors which I really dont like.

They may have a way to paint her teeth white, but she may be happy the way she looks, although I agree with you. She also may have been told that her teeth may have to be pulled. She seems in the pictures to be a good person to be a grandmother and should be very active with her grandsons.

There is a reassuring sameness in these pictures year after year. Queen M seems to always wear her "daisy" earrings, white sandals, and a summery two piece outfit. [What is the name of the necklace she is wearing? Is it "millefiori"?]
