At the Scandinavian Royals Message Board, Marianne has posted information - The Scandinavian Royals Message Board: Special exhibiton by Queen Margrethe II - about a planned exhibition of the queen's works next year - when the queen turns 70. The exhibition is planned to be held at the Skovgaard museum in Viborg, Jutland.

I think that Queen Margrethe is such a multi-faceted person that Denmark is very fortunate to have her as its reigning monarch, as her family to have her creative spirit as well as motherly and grandmotherly love.
She is incredible, and so natural with it all.

Queen Margrethe attended the gala premiere of "The Wild Swans". She designed the costumes and was involved in the set design for the film. During the premiere, the Queen met Martin Jorgenson, the husband of her former daughter-in-law, Countess Alexandra. Martin and Alexandra were guests at the event.

Queen Margrethe has a small role as an extra in the film "The Wild Swan". Here's a photo of the Queen in costume:

This is the same film that she has done the costumes and some of the scenery for.

Margrethe mentions in her memoir that her sisters were both as good at drawing as she was when they were in school, but neither of them had any interest in pursuing it once they grew up.

Queen Margrethe has given another sample of her stagecraft in Næstved.
She read before a ballet performance and was afterwards surprised by
the ballet dancers and the audience with a tribute on the occasion of
her 70th birthday.
The following article link includes many nice pics of the performance:
