Real Countess, I thought the same thing. The King has lost weight, face is drawn. He looks very tired. Who knows maybe he caught A ‘virus’, and did not tell his people so he does, not, worry them....no matter what I wish him well, I hate to see anyone sick.

In response to several posts re: King Mohammed VI's health. A reminder that this past June he underwent "heart surgery" having previously had the same in Paris two years ago. The surgery is related to a heart rhythm disorder known as "atrial flutter. Typically the treatment is a procedure called cardiac ablation and can include a pacemaker. We know very little about the Kings health as Morocco is very discreet regarding personal health information.

An article from The Middle East Eye
indicates for several years now, "the Moroccan regime has been hard at work preparing the succession of the future king
Crown Prince Moulay Hassan to ensure the perpetuation of the monarchy by divine right".

"...Nobody deserves more credit for this positive outcome than my cousin, King Mohammed VI. As head of the family, he has spared no efforts in keeping the girls tightly integrated back home, despite the difficult relationship that he and I had. He has been an attentive uncle to Faizah and Haajar, in the same way that he has been to every member of the entire family. At no time did he let my personal choices interfere with their personal trajectory. He created the safe and warm space that allowed my daughters to interact with their cousins and other relatives, and grow in healthy, serene ways. Because of his attitude, they not only were able to flourish but they also never lost their deepest sense of Moroccan identity and heritage. My only regret is that I have not been able to reciprocate with his own children..."
