I am sure the prince will marry soon, he was supposed to marry last year, but for some reasons, it was delayed.
I don't expect that the MRF will make an anouncement of an eventual engagement, untill just few days before the religious wedding.

Do you heard anything about who is the bride?

is there any news about the date of moulay rachid's annoucement?

No, for the moment there isn’t, but if it will be at the same period than the one of Ismael and Soukaina, probably it will be before the end of this year
Personally, I am very curious to know who is she, and what is really the taste of the prince in matter of women. imo, a woman with an interesting personality and refined taste won’t be of too much in the MRF, since lalla meryem and lalla hasna have a lower profile than in the past and don’t care a lot about fashion, the MRF become any and enough boring.

Imo, I don’t think that we will know if it’s completely his taste, because his choice can’t be completely free (as in most royal families around the world), they are some royal families who have an enough open mind, in Norway the crown prince have choose an unmarried mother, in Spain a divorced woman, but I think that in morocco it’s impossible, even if the prince is crazy of the girl. I think that among the women who surround him, he try to find a girl that corresponds at palace requirements and the more at his physical preferences

as you said in this moment this family is incredibly boring and for me, never she was as drab than now, a girl with another way to see the things and another way to make the things can give some "fraicheur", but with palace requirements its paractically impossible that a girl like this enter this family
.

i think that palace's requirements are also rachid's requirements, he is the epitom of the aristocrate ans I don't think at all that he wants to have a wife with another way to see the things that the palace and him
for me,it would be great to have a princess like this, but already if we can have a princess with interessant personality that she will show it in her way to do her activities and her way to be with people (famous or not) and a good taste to be the represented of the morroccan elegance, it will be a very good for the MRF

seems that it was only a rumor, there is nothing about a future marriage, I am dispointed, I was so exited to see what is his kind of woman

I don't understand what you mean when you say "palace requirements"? I Would love to know what you think they are.

<ed by Warren >
about place requirements for me that mean that the palace can't accept for example a girl who has another way to see things that the palace, about politic for example if she is a defencer of the freedom of speech or a defencor of berber identity

defence of freedom of speech or the berber identity is not a crime in Morocco, situation for these two issues is much better in Morocco than for other contries(words of specialists not mine).
as for Palce requiments i don't think is a big deal,if Moulay rachid really full in love with someone,i don't think they will face much problems and don't forget Moulay rachid has a very very good relationship with his brother the king that will help alot he won't find any problem here.

Palace Requirements in my point of view can only be their father's (may God rest his soul). But then again we outsiders can keep guessing as much as we want, the only key to this mystery is Prince Moulay Rachid's decision. It is after all a very private matter and there are limits to our questioning.
If I were to put myself in this position, I wouldn't like people to be waiting for me to take such a decision there are so many eyes waiting, the event just keeps getting more and more complicated.
Hope you are all having a great summer!!!

Even if Moulay Rachid was married, I have a doubt that his wife would have attended the dinner for Belgium heirs or the lunch for Spanish heirs instead of Lalla Asma, because she will have a lower rank than theses princesses
Does someone know what the Moroccan protocol say about that? Can a highness (I think that it will be her title) welcome a royal highness?

I don't know what say the protocole, but I think that there is no problem, lalla salma is royal princess and she welomed many queens paola, sofia, rania

That could also be due to her status as wife of the Monarch.

yes, I think it because of this; About the future princess, she will has a lower rank than her sisters-in-law, then I think that the most indicatd to welcome foreign royal princesses would be the king's sisters and not the future princess

If she had a lower rank that doesnt mean she cant attened, she can attened since she is attending with her husband. Lalla Asma would be there so will the wife even if Lalla Asma didnt attened there will be no problem if she attended.
IMO protocol in the Arab countries arent as strict as in the European houses, they are quite flexable.
For example in the UAE, Lalla Hasna was once visiting and a dinner was held by Crown Princess sister for her instead of the crown prince wife or the FM wife who are all from the ruiling family too.

Girls aren't you a bit harsh on this "ghost princess for now"(I find it really weird to be talking about an imaginary person), and already trying to give her bottom ranks....?
I see no problem for the future princess in attending her husband's activities, especially when the guests are coming with their significant other. Where would be the fun for His Highness if he gets married and doesn't share these moments with his bride, all the other princely couples do! They all seem to be having fun with all their receptions, social activities,...I think His Highness's future bride's presence would definitely be a plus to his well being...sure! May God give him his long awaited Princess in the nearest future.

it seems that lalla meryem, hasna and amsa want to have a more discreet public role, then I think that the future princess will play a role of second lady of the kingdom, less visible than salma, but she will be in the front when for example foreign royal princesses will come, and prrobably she will have her interstes center as lalla lamia has with blinds;of course, all that if this lady want to have a public life.

You are so true lillas.
When I visit Morroco's royal thread I have always the feeling that some members hate those commoners that became princesses.:ROFLMAO:
I have the feeling that this "ghost princess" is already comdemned by some to become a second rank princess simply because she has no royal blood.
It's time for some to awake and realise that we are in 2009.In the rest of the world commoners who marry royals have a respected status and nobody denies their rights because they have no royal blood.
Things seem logical for me.
Salma is the king's spouse and mother of the crown prince and therefore the first lady of Morroco.
Moulay Rachid being the third heir to the thrown, his future wife will be the second lady in the kingdom.
King's sisters although having royal blood are going to be of lower rank since neither them nor their descendants can ascend to the throne.
For me,it will be so archaic and shameful if a married Moulay Rachid attends official events (like welcoming other royals)with one of his sisters and not with his wife.
This will give a bad image of the royal family.By giving Salma a title and a public image, the king wanted to show a modern image.I am persuaded he will do the same with the next princess.

I agree with you about the first part of your answer, a commoner have all her place and the most important is the lady's personality and not that she has or hasn't a royal blood (as you say we are in 2009), but I think that this lady will play the role of second lady because the king's sisters seems to want being more discreet, but I doubt that the king will give her same title than the one of his wife or his sisters, for me she will have the same title than lalla lamia who is called Highness and not royal highness, and when she will attend an event with all the princesses (for example to welcome a head of state) she will be behind her sisters-in-law. I would be very surprised, if she will have the same or a higher rank than the king’s sisters; For me, salma is an exception because she is the king’s wife

Thank you Soraya for agreeing with my post.
That said my main point is that : really all of this rank idea doesn't really matter, there are enough activities and causes to defend in the Kingdom of Morocco. Putting a specific princess or another in front of the other is only a subjective idea...All of these ladies are part of the same family: The Allaouite Dynasty.
After his marriage, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid is eventually going to be the leader of his own family as well, starting his own descendance (family tree), and his wife (if it pleases to God) is going to be the second pillar of that family. That is mainly where she is going to be standing. The ladies are simply the followers of their respective husbands in this case.
Now for what Loubna2 said about personality, I think that it is really going to be up to HRH Prince Moulay Rachid to manadge her public importance and her ease or whatnot in the public life. His Highness's permission has to be given for every little step. I don't think there is any deliberate personal expression allowed.

unfortunately, I think that you are true, even if I would found wonderful if the prince choose a lady who has a completely different way to see things than him and the alaouite family and who will show it in her way to do things, but it's practically impossible to see this kind of person enter in a royal family

It is all in God's hands Isis. Whatever God has decided for His Royal Highness's marriage is going to be. May God bless this wedding and make it all for the best of the country and the Moroccan Royal Family.

is he the only one bachelor among his cousins?
