Wedding ceremony / party in the UAE are different to those in Europe. The ceremony itself is more of a private matter. About wedding party male and female guests do not celebrate together on the occasion. For more information please have a look here: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...ml#post1847753

No, she wouldnt. No matter if she would be from a ruling family or commoner. CP here has not the same meaning like in royal european families.

Hmmm.. but what will they refer her as? Seems a bit weird just to call someone by their name, even if they are married to CP?

She would be called Shaikha. In UAE we do not have a special title exclusively for the Crown Prince's wife.

That's it? Seems a bit... sexist. No proper title for the wife

Well, Shaikha is a proper and honorable title in UAE which deeply rooted in our heritage.

Yeah sure... but any royal can get the title 'Sheikha'. I'm just saying, if she is really special to him and is the reason he isn't married she should take on the titles and styles of her husband. Especially if she is public and has duties
She should be Crown Princess.
If there is no King of Dubai, meaning the Crown Prince is just a namely title... then his female counterpart should also receive a namely title - Crown princess.

Ok I understand slightly...
So because they are ruling family and not a royal family they don't have crown princess title. However, if they WERE a royal family the girl could potentially get crown princess title as she would be married to the crown prince who is the son of a King.
What is the difference between ruling and royal family? Why is the UAE not considered royal? And what is the logic behind his CP title? It causes confusion... but is the CP affiliated with something?

Hahaha... honourable? A belarusan waitress married a sheikh and got the title sheikha, so just shows that anyone can obtain that easy title.
It's not respectful like princess...

I think the CP title confuses a lot of people not from the Gulf. I recommend reading up on the UAE & on the government. It will help you understand the country & culture better, plus it should answer some of your questions.

I think the title sheikha is more honorable if you have been born a sheikha. I noticed a lot of girls that have married into ruling families the title isn't really used with them. But that's just MY opinion & something I've noticed.

It shows you perfectly that we are not a kingdom. It is what it was in our past were a Shaikh ruled a tribe. Nowadays the title of His Highness is also used in official matters to underline a special position like ruler of an emirate or CP like "His Highness, Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the CP of Dubai".

Its not written that Shaikh Hamdan will be the ruler of Dubai one day. CP doesnt meant that you will be definitely next ruler.

On Thursday, February 22, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum posted the poem on his Twitter account to mark Shaikh Zayed’s return to the UAE.

The poem, titled Sammi El Oud, also pays tribute to the late Shaikh Zayed.
