Thank you very much for these pictures, The Watcher. A very solemn occasion.

I find it 'unusual' (but in a good way&#33 that Maurits was present at this occasion, but I did not see pictures of Constantijn and Laurentien, or Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven.

Who else was in attendance aside from the Queen, Willem and Maxima, Bernhard and Maurits?

-Maurits and Bernhard were in Baarn (that's were Prince Bernhard lives)
-Beatrix, WA and Maxima were in Amsterdam
-And Pieter van Vollenhoven in Den Haag/Wassenaar (no pictures)
As every year, but the only different is that Maurits went to Baarn with his grandfather, because that is the first time that this happened (Last years Bernhard was the only royal person who went to Baarn).

This thread has now been cleaned up.

Unfortunately some posts had to be removed because of broken links. I hope we can add some more pictures as well as articles back into this thread.

I think this event was one of the last times we saw Prince Bernhard Sr. on an official event.

Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem-Alexnader lay a wreath at the foot of the National War Monument on the Dam in Amsterdam, on Remembrance Day 04 May 2006. The remembrance day is a commemoration annually held on May 04 in the Netherlands to remember all members of the armed forces and civilians of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who died in war situations or peacekeeping missions since the outbreak of the Second World War

Beatrix looked very nice, but I did not like Maxima's head gear at all!! The feathers were in the wrong spot IMO
