You're on to the next round Dazz!...You must have missed my initial post....such a long thread already..
The horses,as well as many others involved, went through a traditional
series of traning this past weekend, the route, the noise, the honorary
escort by the Cavalry, everything taken into account.

And,there was a mini Prinsjesdag last week, children came up with their wishes and one was proclaimed "Queen" for a short while and sat in the Hall of Knights, reading out aloud the childrens speech from the " Throne"...,actually,the Mini Queen had a chair,but...In front of the real Throne.Look what fun it was.The Children sort of wished, demand,a official council consisting of children and wish to be heard on matters regarding kids.Great!!

There was a delay due to an incident.Someone threw a glass candleholder at the Golden Coach. Therefore HM will leave the Palace later as a short investigation was carried out first. The perpetrator was arrested,a 29 year old guy from the town of Winterswijk.Infuriating,a good beating and rearranging his clockwork would be in place,I am fet up with the way too slumpy judicial system that leave others in the misconception they can do what they like especially during official events,we saw it on may 4th,Queensday last year and now this again.Enough!.They can´t,and if the Law doesn´t do enough, citizens should get together and act and pay this creeps a visit they won´t forget. I´m furious really.
HM and TRH just arrived at the Hall of Knights.

I'm hate this for the Queen's security having to deal with this creep. Here all this work goes to create this magical event, all these excited people waiting and someone has to ruin it. I'm sure everything will be alright but it must be so unnerving to the RF!!
I Love the Queen and Maxima's dresses! They look perfect for the occasion!

Oh but it is.And to all of us,god forbid but it´s almost becoming a `trend` to disrupt these occasions.Sad.
On a lighter note, during the balcony scne as we call it,people from the Twente region let a bunch of balloons up with a message attached to it reading something like `Our turn in 2011` pointing at their wish to host the HM and the Royal Family
on Queensday next year.HM and her Family were in stitchess and clearly appreciated the whole thing.Good for them! And as we say hereą
Leve de Koningin!

Beautiful outfit on Princess Māxima!
It reminds me a bit of the purple outfit she wore a few years ago on Prinsjesdag, a bit 20's-30's Queen Astrid like style.

Are you suggesting that people should take the law in their own hands?
I am just as outraged as you, but I think this is not the way to handle these kind of situations!
By the way; your facts are not correct. The incident did not happen before the Royal Family left Noordeinde Palace, but shortly after they left.
There was no delay in the program. Everything went according to plan.

I know, they had just left the Palace Hendrik-Jan.What I want is a much more strict judicial system that takes care of this sort of idiot acts appropiatly, and doesn't leave those knuckleheads be so fe the press can make documentaries on 'm like happened to the nut that screamed at the Dam Square on may 4th.He was the star of a documentary and visibly enjoyed the attention. That is the world upside down indeed in my book!
Over 60 people got injured and traumatised by the hectic / scare at the time, remember? We can not leave that unpunished,so I fervently hope the judicial system, which is an absolute farce, will be well taken care of by the new government.Btw,there already are guards consisting of civilians in many municipalities, nothing new there.

Thanks for the photos!
Prinsjesdag 2010 was spectacular as usual. Ladies added a special touch to this event by wearing inventive pieces of millinery. At the same time, I wonder why Crown Princess Maxima, but not Her Majesty Queen Beatrix was the first to get out of the carriage.
