Dirk was the son of Floris III of Holland and Ada of Scotland
He reigned as Count of Holland from 1190 until his death in 1203.
His remains were buried at the Nieuwkerk in Dordrecht.

Anna was a prisoner at the time of her death and was buried in an unmarked grave at the cathedral of Meissen in Germany.

Philip William, Prince of Orange remained a pious Roman Catholic all his life and married a French Catholic Éléonore de Bourbon in 1606 who was a cousin of Henri IV.
Sadly the union was childless.

Anne was at one stage being put forward as a potential bride for King Louis XV of France but the French insistence that Anne must convert to Catholicism caused the contract and negotiations to break down in 1725.

18th of January 1586 : Death of Margaret of Austria,Duchess of Parma and Regent of the Low Countries.

Margaret was the natural daughter of the Emperor Charles V and ruled the Low Countries as Regent from 1559 until 1567.
In 1536 she was married to Ottavio Farnese, Duke of Parma by whom she had one surviving son Alexander Farnese later Duke of Parma.
Margaret left the low Countries in 1568 and settled in Italy but returned to the Low Countries to assist her half brother Don Juan of Austria govern but left again in 1582 and retired to Italy.
The Duchess died at Ortona is buried in the church of S. Sisto in Piacenza where her tomb has survived.
