Well, I just said that because that was the caption of the picture.

Thank you so much for your response and the additional links I'll definitely check those out. I was just really curious what it's like in another country when the head of state is on a visit such as this. Sounds so great that they keep the public so informed. Very different than here.

Skycan,I think the Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Bazar are scheduled towards the end of the morning/early afternoon.
On friday they visit the Topkapi Palace first thing in the morning followed by the Istanbul Modern museum,so you and QUEENECE should have a chance to see them.

About the soil,I think it's wishfull thinking in the turkish media,if,in any case, the baby would be born within the next 4 days, the room this would happen would be declared dutch soil for the occasion,no need for a mud pool

I was about to ask the same...anyway i must say the outfits looked really black to me as well ...
About the soil...is this customary (regarding the Royals, that is)?

Sara she is not due any time now if she were she wouldn't be on this trip. Her doctors would not have let her go if she was in danger.

I think Maxima looked nice when they first arrived to Turkey, but that second pink/orange outfit was really terrible (Earrings to DIE for, though). She looked nice at the gala dinner as well, even though I'm not crazy about the aquamarine set .
Today, she looked cute too, but again tired. And tonight, she's stunning IMHO

The ravissante lady sitting direct behind the Queen is Her Excellency Martine Louise Amélie van Loon - Labouchere.
For almost 20 years Lady van Loon is the Queen's Grootmeesteres. (The British equivalent is: Mistress of the Robes).
The uniformed gentleman next to the Grootmeesteres is Cavalry Lieutenant-General A.G.J.M. Blomjous, Chief of the Military House of Her Majesty The Queen, Aide-de-Camp General.
