Dutch State Visit to India: October 24-27, 2007

HM The Queen will pay a state visit to India from October 24th to 27th. She will be accompanied by the Prince of Orange and Princess Maxima. Post all your information, questions and links to pictures concerning this visit in this thread. After the state visit the Prince of Orange and Princess Maxima will pay an official visit to Bhutan. Program.

As was announced HM will bring a Sate Visit to the Republic of India from wednesday october 24th till saturday october 27th.

HM will be accompanied by TRH The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima,as well as the dutch Foreign Minister HE Mr.Maxime Verhagen.

After the official part of the visit on day one,there will be extensive talks on ecology,
water and micro-finance and the synergy between these sectors.
There will also be attention for the (immense) economic development of India and the possibilities for the dutch corporate world.

Wednesday october 24th.

Ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Palace.

Wreath laying ceremony at the Raj Ghat,the venue where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Meetings with authorities and the leader of the opposition

HM will attend a round table meeting with delegation of the dutch corporate world

Dinner hosted by (the first female-)HE President Pratibha Patil.Both Heads of State will speech

Thursday october 25th

Visit to the Energy and Resource Institute

Visit at the Depalaya school.with special attention for healthcare and hygiene

Afternoon:seminar water and finance:Exploring Innovative Partnerships

Reception of the dutch community at the residence of the dutch ambassador in New Dehli,HE Mr.Niehe....
(indeed,brother of dutch tv producer Ivo..)

Evening:HM will host a concert of the Netherlands Copper Ensemble for Her Indian guests.

Friday october 26th

Flight to Bangalore

Visit at NGO trainingcentre Myrada,HM will be informed on the contribution of micro-finance on - mainly female -
Self Help Groups and Watershet Committees.

Visit to Shrinivasnagar village

Reception of the dutch community on Bangalore

Dinner hosted by the Governor of the State of Karnataka,of which Bangalore is the Capital.

Saturday october 27th

HM .will visit the municipal micro-finance organisation Ujjivan,that fights poverty on a commercial basis.

As the last part of this State Visit,Her Majesty will have talks with four leaders (Goeroe's) of four Indian "revolutions" that each in their respective field,were instrumental for the development of mother India:the green revolution,agriculture/the white revolution,milkproduction/
the blue revolution,space program/the grey revolution,information technology.

Just wondering, where you say HM wil do this and that, I assume she will accompanied at all these tings by her son and daughter-in-law? No seperate agenda for them I hope? Anyway, thanks for translating the programme and posting it here, it is appreciated!

"I say" HM where the RH website says so.I presume,with all the micro-finance and water issues/meetings mommy leads the way and Alex and Máxima follow,it is all within their line,or one of them,of interests.

I think they had a great time there. Especially prince Clause was very interested in India and its development.
I`m soory that I can`show you pitures of their really last visit to India. That was at the milennium, when the whole family of Beatrix and Claus travelled to India, with all sisters of Beatrix and all cousins. I think that was a great party

But unfortunally it was a private visit. So no pictures

That was the best thing they could do. It is a long flight. Are any of Maxima's girls with her? Ariane maybe?

On Dutch television, in a programme called 'RTL Boulevard' it was said from reliable sources that the mother of Princess Máxima, Maria del Carmen Cerruti is babysitting the three girls at Villa De Eikenhorst during their parents' state visit.

For those, who want to watch Live Coverage from India, I have found Links to India TV Channels which you can watch online and one Link to an India News Channel. There will surely be Live Pictures, when they will arrive tommorow.
The time difference is +5 hours.

Apparently the Royals and their party went by a KLM flight to New Delhi while the government airplane KBX, went there too, but empty. The reason is probably that the KBX would have to stop once or twice to refuel while KLM´s Boeing 747 doesn´t.

Maxima looked lovely, her outfit was very pretty as well as the hat. Queen Beatrix also looked good, i thought her red outfit was very neat.
