Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has accepted an invitation to visit Canada.He will be joined by
Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Their visit will be part of efforts to build closer ties between the two countries, said a joint statement from
Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of UAE, who is currently visiting Canada, and John Baird, his Canadian counterpart.
The opening of a UAE consulate in Toronto on Wednesday, its second in North America, will also strengthen links between the business communities of the two nations. The visit will mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
