Zara is now the World Champhion in eventing - congratulations!!!
England's team was placed 2nd, after Germany.
She got 4 penalties in the show jumping, which was what she could afford, and she took the title - her 2nd big title in a row, last year she became European Champion. Talk about being a meda-hope for the Olympics in 2008!

Congratulations to Zara Phillips!
I saw her ride and she was really good!
Nice to see Princess Anne congratulating her daughter right after she won.

Maybe she now gets the title "Dame" for services rendered to her country!

Congratulations to Zara!!! The first thread I looked through was this one; I hoped so much she would win!
I may be over sensitive but I have tears in eyes (it may also be for a fact that my lenses are not feeling very comfortable though ).
Anyway, good job, girl!!!!!

Zara's triumph tinged with sorrow over friend's death
It was the moment when Zara Phillips triumphantly shook off her royal rebel tag.
But the victory was tinged with sadness for Zara.
She dedicated her success to a close friend and fellow showjumper Sherelle Duke, who was killed last Sunday when her horse fell on top of her during a competition.
Zara and the British team competed wearing red-and-white ribbons - Miss Duke's cross-country colours - as a mark of respect

She is the World Champion of the 3 Day Equestrian Event. It is like a triathlon for horse and their riders; the first day with the dressage competition- which is the classy deportment training of horses- sometimes called "horse ballet". Zara came 5th in that event; the second day is the cross country race; the third day is the showjumping event. Zara was placed first in those two and consequently took first place overall and became the world champion. I imagine with her hard work now she will continue to improve the dressage and be hard to beat. She has two great parents- her mother was European Champion and her father a 1972 Olympic gold medallist at the same events. They must be proud of her.
