BIRTHDAY girl Zara Phillips proves it’s all coming up roses with her jockey boyfriend Richard Johnson — as she clutches a single red bloom.
Princess Anne’s daughter, 22 today, smiled as they left London’s Roof Garden Restaurant. Zara and 25-year-old Richard — who split up last year only to get back together — shared a meal at the restaurant in Kensington.
And Zara, in a tight gold trouser suit, was treated to a cellophane-wrapped rose at the table. Love must have bloomed again.
Love is blooming ...

Isn't this the same idiot who ws going to write a book about their relationship and stated that he didn't really love her anyway. If so, some girls just don't learn

Royal filly Zara just won't be reined in
Royal rebel Zara Phillips will be riding high in the area tomorrow
when she takes part in the Chatsworth International Horse Trials for
the first time. But the champion rider is probably more famous for
the stir she causes out of the saddle, as Lucy Harvey reports.
PRETTY BLONDE, 21, 5ft 5in, slim, likes body piercing, world travel,
horses, and red wine WLTM anyone and everyone - and generally have a
good time.
Hardly a predictable profile for the tenth in line to the British
throne, but then Zara Phillips has never been one to conform to
stereotypes.
This weekend she will once again be admired for her equestrian
prowess as she rides Toytown in her Chatsworth debut. But her horse
riding skills are not all the reigning national young rider champion
is famed for.
Princess Anne was always determined her only daughter would lead
an 'ordinary' life, which in itself means she has become an
extraordinary royal.
Her non-Christian name, meaning 'as bright as a dawn' and rumoured to
have been chosen by her uncle Prince Charles, singled her out from
the rest of the Windsors from the start, and she has never been tied
to her rightful title, Princess.
After spending early years at a local nursery school in
Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, Zara caused a fuss aged 10 when she
was caught in the boys' dormitory at Beauderset Prep, but she soon
buckled down to conscientious studies at Gordonstoun which earned her
a place at Exeter University.
Then the adventures really began.
From bungee jumping in New Zealand to having her tongue pierced for
£35 in Scotland, a now headstrong Zara does what she like when she
likes. Her four-year relationship with national hunt jockey Richard
Johnson became tabloid newspaper fodder with public rows, several
splits and a punch-up resulting in the police being called.
The pair were also pictured in a glossy magazine for an 'at home'
shoot, confirming rumours Zara was living with her lover, but
separated after a bust-up at her 21st birthday ball at Windsor
Castle, when Johnson turned up two hours late.
More recently the couple were reconciled when Zara publicly gave
Johnson a congratulatory kiss at the Champion Hurdle in Cheltenham
and the chances are he will be among those celebrating her 22nd
birthday next Thursday.
Love-life aside, Zara has an undoubtedly bright future ahead of her.
She has recently qualified as a physiotherapist and there is every
chance she will compete in a future Olympic games.
She works hard in sport and for charity, is the president of Club 16-
24, the notable young members' club of Cheltenham Racetrack, and has
also been named among the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world.
Her easy-going outlook has earned a wealth of respect and her beauty
and eye-catching style, assisted by fashion designer Ceril Campbell,
ensures she always stands out from the crowds.
In February she also became the first member of the royal family to
sign a commercial sponsorship deal, when she agreed to become the
face of a betting firm.
When asked how the Queen felt about the deal a typically feisty Zara
said: "Apart from wanting to achieve things in my own right, I think
my grandmother has quite enough to worry about before she gets to me."
This royal rebel's philosophy is known to be: 'You only live once so
you should do as much as you can', and it seems that is a mantra she
is determined to live by.

News on Zara
15 MAY 2003
With the fashion parade also known as Royal Ascot set to take place
next month, it comes as no surprise to learn that Princess Anne's daughter
Zara Phillips has been checking out the latest in hat design.
The striking young blonde admired the wares of milliner Louis Mariette
on Tuesday in London, alongside her beau, jockey Richard Johnson. The
on-off relationship is definitely on once again, demonstrated by the
couple's radiant smiles as they mingled with fellow guests arm-in-arm.
Zara – who celebrates her 22nd birthday on Thursday – wore a demure
earth-toned trouser suit as she admired Mariette's glamorous hats,
featured in a collection intended specifically for Ascot. Though there's no
word on the stylish royal's fashion plans for the famous horse racing
event, she's likely to choose a head-turning outfit. In 2002, Zara's lilac
lace confection by Elspeth Gibson – topped with a 1940s-style hat by
Tara O’Callaghan – was arguably the hit of the high-profile occasion.
Royal Ascot, which begins on June 17, usually lasts only four days. But
after the success of last year's five-day run, the Queen has given her
consent for the high society bash to be extended once again in 2003.
The couple were the picture of happiness as they checked out the
designs of milliner Louis Mariette in London

She is fashionable and she doesn't limit her wardrobe to hats and dresses mostly worn by royals but she has a wide selection of dresses which do look great on her and make her look simple yet elegant.
