I remember well the days where it was the norm to call Charles a bit standoffish and aloof. Those days are well over its rare these days to see a photo with Charles where his isn't smiling, approachable or cracking a joke.
He's a very genuine person and I think he'll be a very compassionate and warm king when the time comes.

On Thursday December 5th, Prince Charles attended a reception to celebrate the newly restored Kenwood House on the edge of Hampstead Heath.
Camden News Journal
The house had been closed for two years for the restoration and contains a lovely library and some important paintings - all free to visit.

Not known for his views on asset management, the Prince of Wales used a speech to the pensions industry in October to criticise the short-termism of “quarterly capitalism”, which was “unfit for purpose”.
Last week, Prince Charles took the opportunity to raise his concerns with the most powerful man in the financial world.
Mandrake can disclose that the Prince summoned Mark Carney, the new Governor of the Bank of England, to a private meeting at his London residence, Clarence House.

Kind of fitting as the mandrake root is a source for hallucinogenic trips and very very dangerous to ingest.
