Sarah, Duchess of York Current Events 13: October 2008-February 2009
Welcome to part 12 of the thread to discuss the current events of Sarah Duchess of York. It would be appreciated if discussion of her appearance and dress sense didn't dominate and didn't turn spiteful.
The previous thread is here.

This is a quote from Sarah: "He said I must never say this, but he said, 'We are divorced to each other, not from each other.' We are the happiest unmarried couple."
Any ideas on what this actually means?

Elspeth first let me apologize if I ever sounded spiteful. I actually like Sarah a lot and I already said she seems like a really nice person.
I have issues with the way she dresses but will try to restrain myself.
Russo I have no links but when one of the girls was born an astrologer at Point de Vue had predicted that her parents will separate and get reunited after 12 years.........We are almost there. I know it is speculation but let's hope they are correct and these two will be happy.

Posts speculating on a York remarriage have been moved to the A Wife for Prince Andrew thread to leave this one for Sarah's current events.

Yes, and Jeanne Dixon said in 1991 that Charles and Diana would reunite and have a daughter. I'd like to see Sarah and Andrew officially back together as well, but I don't see it happening. For one thing, I think that it would be much too limiting for Sarah. As it is, they can be as close as they want, but she doesn't have to deal with the Royal "baggage"--just the perks.

I would love to only have perks in my life, royal and otherwise and no restrictions so I cannot blame Sarah for wanting the same.
Has Sarah kept any of the patronages she had before the divorce?
I remember how emotional she was at an event right after the scandal broke out and how she appreciated the guests' welcome but I cannot remember what charity it was. Helpppppppp!

Here's the thread about Sarah's patronages with a list of her charities in the OP and some of the dates that I could find.

I believe that she got emotional at a meeting of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Thanks, Ice. She doesn't look too bad. I really like that chiffon-like wrap. I could do w/out the dress, tho.

Great links, giov! Pss E looks so pretty in these photos! Sarah doesn't look too bad, either. I think it's good for the York girls to be photographeed out at charity events or doing things like this. It balances out all those photos of them out partying.

Doesn't Dave Clarke look dapper in these photos? Did you see all those press hanging around outside, it would just ruin a good meal.

I really like this outfit (well, not the shoes with dark hose) but the chiffon wrap, the emerald green--she looks really relaxed and elegant--it's nice to see.
