that is a stupid title for a story. The Sun tries to hard to make interesting unique headlines but it just sounds stupid after a while.

as for the story... the guy probably didn't even know them. He probably just passed them in the halls. Will and Harry don't seem like people who would put up with him for long. they don't like to stand out they want to be seen as normal.

I read he reported for two weeks settling in period to his barracks in Windsor and then onto to Bovington(?).

It is probably wishful thinking on his part. Anyone who needs to boast of 'Royal connections', 'friendship' or 'familiarity', is normally sadly in need of help! Although you do get one or two who can only make their way through life by telling everyone how close they are, or that they have friends of friends!

Harry has chosen a CAREER in the Army and so far he has aquitted himeself well. Here's hoping his specialist training goes just as well!

This situation must surely have been considered (and given the BRF's caution, not to mention the government's), resolved BEFORE he entered Sandhurst!

By the way, the hereditry line does not end with Harry.

This is really correct about hereditry to the throne. And I think Harry really wants to go into combat. He does not want to be King. There are others in line to the throne. Let Harry live the life he wants. I think he has to prove something to himself. Being second to the throne has always overshadowed him.

But I think this has been plan out by higher powers and he will be deployed in some area with his group of military men that is safe and he won't lose face. Aren't the British leaving Iraq in the next year?

Prince Harry to begin training for Iraq

Prince Harry, the third in line to the British throne, will begin his training in May to prepare him for deployment in Iraq in October 2006.
Beginning on May 22, the newly-commissioned officer will take the troop commander's course for the next five months in Dorset and get "up to his elbows in engine grease" while sharing a cramped and sometimes noxious tank with two others, the Daily Telegraph reported on Friday.

The decision on how to use the prince, who has expressed a strong desire to fight alongside his men on operations, will be made by his commanding officer at Windsor Lt Col Ed Smyth-Osbourne.
"He is third in line to the throne and that brings with it certain implications. But Prince Harry is a troop commander and he has a job to do," Col Jamie Martin, the chief of staff at the Armour Centre, told the newspaper
"Here he will be treated like any other officer and he will be addressed by me by his Christian name and by others as Cornet Wales," he said.

Before we all get excited, He would be doing this further training whether or not he is going to Iraq or Afghanistan.

Surely the MOD wouldn't let him complete this part of his training and then pull him out? Oh I forgot this is the MOD, anything is possible!

Nah ... Not to worry. They have spin doctors too. (After all, the ranks of volunteers are not exactly bulging. Methinks they think this is the best Ad for the Army since Winstin Churchill's "...we shall fight them on the beaches ....).
