If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The photos of all the palaces are really very good! The only thing that is missing is the location and country of origin. Maybe someone can help?

I like the Patio de los Leones of The Alhambra in Spain.
I like the twelve-sided fountain surrounded by twelve sculpted lions from which the courtyard takes its name.

Thanks, such a shame that Chinon is a ruin given its historical importance.

I think this is Mainau in Switzerland.:flowers:

Yes that is Mainau. It is on an Island with the same name located in the Lake Constanze who belongs to Germany.

Isn't Mainau the residence of the Counts and Countesses Bernadotte? I'm sure I've read that somewhere.

Yes the descendansts of the late Count Lennart. His father Prince Vilhelm inherited it from his mother Queen Victoria, née Princess of Baden, who had inherited it from her parents Grand Duke Friedrich I. and Grand Duchess Luise. When Prince Lennart lost his titles and privilieges after his first marriage he came to the Mainau and turned it into the flower Paradies we know today.

Chateau de Chambord, Loire Valley, France.

Largest chateau in the Loire Valley, built 1519-1547 as a hunting lodge for François I, King of France.
Napoleon gave the chateau to his confidante Louis Alexandre Berthier, 1st Prince de Wagram. On his death in 1815 it passed to his widow, Duchess Maria Elisabeth in Bavaria.
It was then bought for the infant Comte de Chambord and on his death in 1883 passed to his sister's heirs, the Dukes of Parma.
The French government acquired Chambord in 1930.

Georg Friedrich doesn’t live in Hohenzollern castle as it is not his main residence, he lives in another German state. The head of the Habsburg family doesn’t live in a castle or palace as the family lost their rights to Schonbrunn palace and other properties for the head of the family.

Franz of Bavaria has apartments in Nymphenburg palace.
