This is a great thread! I love to see the families interacting with each other! The looks and geatures seem so geunine and true.

I always thought Queen Beatrix and CP Maxima looked exceptionally close.
And Queen Sofia and CP Letizia seem to have a nice close relationship too!

Does anybody have the pictures of Queen Sofia carrying Infanta Leonor after visiting Infanta Sofia in the hospital? I have them, but don't know how to get them on here. I saw them on some website like celebritybabyblog or something of that sort, can't exactly remember the name. But they are very sweet and show what a great grandma Sofia is!

You are right Vanesa, I've noticed it as well, I think it has something to do with the fact that Iñaki is more a "family man" than Jaime, he spends a lot of time with his children and nieces and nepwews while Jaime doesn't seem to; so Queen Sofia likes to be with her grandchildren a lot and they are very frecuently in Barcelona with Iñaki, maybe that's why she's almost always with him:)

Sometimes I have some difficulties to understand how some passion allow to say some things not very sur.

First, we know that the Queen is very found of all theirs grand children and that she is trying to give to them in equal part all her grand mother love. if you want you can find a lot of pics with the Queen and theirs grand children of Madrid who can with more faclities to see her at the Zarzuela.
To say that she is very often in Barcelone to see the Underga's family is forget that she has an terrific agenda who forbid to go " like that" in Barcelone. To end if, now, she looks a little more far away of Jaime of Marichalar - but, please not of their children- it's obviously because Marichalar has international activities and because too the couple Marichalar is traveling more outside Spain than the Dukes of Palm.

Have look about the hollidays in Baleares during the spring, you can see how the Queen Sofia is involved by all theirs grand children.

hey adelaide, I'm not saying Queen Sofia doesn't spend time with all her grandchildren; what I'm saying is that the Marichalar kids are in Barcelona a lot so when QS is with all of them, they usually are with Iñaki so she seems to be more with him

it's not a question of passion, it's just the way things are;)

I have some pics that I love!!! enjoy...it´s very nice....

Very nice pictures! Willem-Alexander and Maxima seem very much in love with each other. What happened to her leg in the 2nd picture?

As I said in a post above, in this thread about the loving looks of gestures, evrybody is defending his " favorite couples" - with his family- It's very good to understand how it's important for Kings, Crown Princes to give a love and harmony picture of themselves. It's very confident in matter of image to give this impression and it's yet better when you can see at each time how true it is.

For that the pics of the Kings of Norway are totally estupendous, and I thank very much her supporter for all the work done to give us archive pics absolutly tremandous.

I confess that I'm a little suspicious for the Princes of Walls's shots because even if sometimes they are absolutly wonderfull mainly because the beauty of Diana, I have some difficulties to beleived at a "beloved and glamourous atmosphere " because the double life of Prince Charles. But who knows? may be at some moments and for parts of time he was a little in love of his so exceptional spouse?

As my interest are mainly turn for the Princes of Asturias but as i don't want to bother you, I avoid to put in this thread all the looks and love gestures of this couple.

But for once time, I give you two very recent pics that every body had could see at the exit of the Ruber Clinic. Felipe, as he is totally accustomed now, is hanging strongly his wife by her weast in very loved gesture than at each time I find too simpathetic for somebody who is generally speaking absolutly not extrovert:wub:  The point which is making my day is that Letizia who were at the begining of their wedding very reticent for this loved demonstraion in public, is now totally in the mood. the both give us an extraordinary spectacle of love and harmony.

I'm not corporel gesture's specialist but when I see them I'm totally convinced of their deep love:wub:

Funny photo TheTruth, thanks. But that's only a history... if they would know what would happen for some years...

Yep, I agree. Although I still think the Queen kept some respect for Diana even after the divorce. I heard once that when Charles was sitting somewhere, Diana would run through the room to sit on his lap and kiss his cheek; the Queen would just laugh at the scene.

I found it really funny.

I can assure you that Queen Beatrix equally loves Princess Máxima, Princess Mabel and Princess Laurentien. She has openly said to be intensely happy and feeling privileged to have such 'gifted and talented' ladies and seems to see them as the daughters she never had.

And of course the always so majestic Queen simply melts down when she is eye in eye with one of her 8 grandchildren: Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia, Princess Ariane, Countess Emma Luana, Countess Joanna Zaria, Countess Eloise, Count Claus-Casimir and Countess Leonore.

Has Beatrix ever made any statement on Máxima's growing popularity? (as mentioned in other thread, through a recent poll, she turns out to be even more popular than the Queen herself). I'm sure she really appreciates her, maybe as the daughter she never had, i don´t know...and she is for sure 100% conscious about the great good that she has done to her son as a future King, but still...?

Those are great pictures of the royals with their in-laws. They seem to really support them through their marriage and other royal deeds which is awesome.
