I wish to include pictures in this thread when royals go to root their teams/sportsmen (women) wherever they are:
(quarterfinals basketball USA vs Spain Athens 2004)

(King Albert II at Roland Garros finale, June 2003 with champion Justine Henin-Hardenne and runner-up Kim Clijsters, both belgian)

(King Juan Carlos congratules Rafael Nadal for winning Roland Garros 2005. Curious fact; when KJC and QS were at the match , they were called to be informed of Irene Urdangarin's birth, so the Queen didn't finish to watch the game and took a flight to Barcelona;) )

Some Danish posters should get on here because there were a TON of great photos from the last olympics with the Queen, CP Frederik, CP Mary, and even Henrik and Joachim I believe. They really went nuts for the gold-medal-winning Danish team (I believe it was in women's handball).

They are really into handball. Are they?
It's a contagious sport I can tell you;) I think it was the first time queen Margrethe was seen this enthusiastic about a sports event!
Right now the men's European Handball Championship is being played in Switzerland; some great matches so far. Try catching some of them on TV if you can :)

Looks like Frederik is explaining the rules to his mother in picture number 3:D
