Royals and Cats

Hi, this is just about a little observation I've made but why aren't there any royals with pet cats? It's just that I'm a cat person and I'd just like to know why is it that any time I see a royal with a pet it's always a dog. Are cats just not popular or something? Why aren't there any cats?

I also really like cats and it's a reality that royalty never shows up with cats but rather with dogs. I wonder why?

Maybe they don't like cats.

My guess is that the tendency towards dogs comes from the popularity of hunting among royals.

I thought Princess Michael of Kent had a Burmese cat called Ruby.
Given that the Queen swaps houses a bit, perhaps the portability of a dog is a consideration when royals are choosing a pet.
When dogs are everywhere then cats often feel less at ease.
If there were cats they would not be seen being walked by their royal owner like a dog is seen out in public. We would never know.
Cats kill native birds so that could be a turn off in homes with lovely gardens.

But dogs are a turn off in homes with lovely carpets.

Think of a cat, any cat, that would deign to allow you to cart it around so RR's could take photos.

Most royalas travel a lot and change residences. Cats are territorial and it is stressful for cats to travel.
I also can't imagine playful felines frolicking amongst priceless antiques and fabrics of royal residences.

And cats still remember they were once worshipped as gods so I doubt they would be happy being owned by royals since they wouldn't have as high of a status as them; it seems

Now this is beyond ridiculous ...really?

This is very precious and they deserve the criticism they get for this one in my opinion.

Except it's a media story and has what basis in truth? This was discussed here months ago.

Well, it has the basis in truth that... they won't reveal the name of their dog.

I don't get it, should they put out a press release releasing their dog's name?

Am I the only person in the universe who a) doesn't care about the names of any royal's dogs, cats, gerbils, or horses and b) doesn't care that much if they have dogs, cats, gerbils or horses?

I don’t care about the dog’s name either. I don’t care about the jet, the price of the dress, the baby shower nor the grill. I mean, I literally could care less about that stuff.

I don't know HM The Queen's dogs' names, and I don't need to know the names of any Royal's bets' names.

I suspect the dog's name will come out eventually like Lupo's but apart from the Corgis we don't really know the names of any other of the Royal Family's pets or even if they have them in some cases and in most there's no interest in the names either.

I care about the name of dogs! People use to have a very personal relationship to a dog and the other way around - but we will not so soon find out, how our dog names us. But the name you give a beloved creature, says a lot about you!
