Does anyone know of the link between the present Queen of England and the Russian royals -the Romanovs? I understand Prince Phillip is the son or nephew of Princess Alice, but Queen Elizabeth how is she related to Tzar Nicholas and co, as great cousins, the argyle line doesn't sufficiently explain the House of orange of William and Mary to direct lineage of the Stuart and Tudor period?
We all know Alexeii Romanov, Tzarevich couldn't walk about much in his young years, wearing calipers etc according to the Exhibition this year of the Russian Royals at the Science Museum, does this comply with modern tastes?
Queen Elizabeth is not directly related to tsar Nicholas, however her husband Prince Phillip throught Queen Victoria is related to the romanovs, not to tsar Nicholas but to Tsarina Alexandra, he is her a great-nephew, and is DNA was used to macht the remains found of the imperial family. So yes they are both related to the Romanovs directly or indirectly through family relations.
