She got it "free" from Volkswagen (who owned Bentley at that time ... marvellous advertising, eh?).

I certainly believe it, where ex-Queen Anne-Marie and reigning Queen Margrethe are concerned. I've always wondered what the origin of the ex-Greek royal's spending money is. I think Anne-Marie's discretion is legendary and hence worth 'rewarding'.
Talking about origin of wealth ... it is rumoured that King Juan Carlos went to the Middle East when he was a young king, and got a non-repayable gift of at least a million dollars as a result of his schmoozing.

Not at all. In private she always drives in the newest-of-the-newest fourwheel Volvo.
Queen Beatrix' car park (The Royal Stables Department) has some 100 cars, vans, busses, etc.). As far as I know she has never ever driven a Volkswagen.

Where is the garage/parking lot?
I'm looking at various Royal Palaces don't seem to have a garage or a parking lot.
Where do they keep the Royals' cars?
I know this is a dumb question but I'm trying to make a palace in The Sims 2 and I need to know where the cars go!

I assume they are kept underground. That way they are out of sight, at least the ones that belong to the staff or the family itself. I can't imagine Queen Elizabeth II or King Juan Carlos stopping by one of their many castles, opening the car window with a garage door opener in hand and pointing toward the giant gates of the castle to open up. That would be like out of a Mel Brooks movie.
And no, is not a dumb question. I remember that when I was a kid and used to look at history books with floor plans of royal homes and my first thought was 'where are the bathrooms?!?!'

I do not know how the other royal houses do, but in the Netherlands there is a Royal Stables Department which not only takes care for the cars and the carriages, but also for the royal busses, royal train, the royal airplanes, etc.
The two main dependances of the Royal Stables Department are on the estate of Noordeinde Palace (The Hague) and Het Loo Palace (Apeldoorn).

Queen Beatrix' VIP-bus. Sometimes the Queen uses this bus, which has 25 seats, a bathroom and dressingroom aboard:

The Windsors keep the Bentleys in the car park at the side of the Palace. They're shielded from view by the cars of most employees and whenever I walk past there's a red Post Office van parked there.

I have a hard time believing that the money from King Constantine's foundation goes toward the purchase of his cars...I just don't think the idea of his wealthy friends giving him money in exchange for favours would be accpetable to anyone (like other monarchs and European society at large)...

Royal Air Travel
After some discussion on the Crown Princess Maxima thread, I wanted to start a thread for discussing Royal Air Travel. Which royal families have their own private jets? Who uses military travel, and who uses commercial airlines? Is there a royal who flies their own planes? Or anything else interesting about royals and flying?
