And posing what it was all about. The photo was taken to accompany a message of encouragement to the Swedish people because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The King and Queen has a 20 room flat at Drottningholm but I have no idea if they have a separate office or if they've set up shop in a corner of the flat.

Well, with twenty rooms I guess they can set aside a couple of square-meters for a home office somewhere.

Svensk Damtidning tells about the photo:
It's nice to see the work corner at the royal couple's private apartment at Drottningholm Palace. There is Josef Frank's classic floor lamp "Little Camel". On the writing leaf, a leather desktop wallpaper with a fine patina, a matching paper stand, a letter knife and a calendar, or possibly an address book with the king's crowned monogram can be seen. The window faces the courtyard where Queen Silvia has her pool. Queen Silvia was sitting in the exact same place, working, when Elle magazine interviewed her before her 75th birthday. On top of the secretary is a gold-shining pocket watch. And next to it are the two photos of Crown Princess Victoria in their leather frames. She looks to be three or four years old, maybe the king has taken them himself.

It depends on the person. Some people are "lawful neutral" about their desks with a place for everything and everything in its place whereas I am of the "chaotic neutral" school of thought when it comes to my desk beit at home or work. If it looks like it's been ransacked it's all good.

I enjoy getting a glimpse inside the royals' work and personal spaces.

Nice.
When they turn off the chandelier, it becomes very Christmas-hygge.

You are right Muhler, the number of candles and candle-shaped lamps is lovely, but the candles mounted on small mirrors whether real or electric must make the room look spectacular when lit. I especially like the modern Advent Candle.
All in all, a wonderfully warm and cozy room.

I think the candles infront of the big mirror on the fireplace are likely real (they have stands, not mounted). Likely lit them when the fireplace was lit.
The room definitely has such a cozy feel even though formal. Could imagine, with the chandellier turned off, curling up by the fire with cider and listening to carols or such. Such a lovely family feel to the moment and Christmas decor.

As far as I can make out, this photo posted today is from M&F's private apartment at Amalienborg. Presumably their dining room.

I like the table decoration and chairs.
Not sure I like the painting in the background though. In fact I don't.

Looks like they have a real working fireplace too which is beautiful in the background.

Fireplaces lit always put me in the Christmas mood.
Definitely a beautiful setting for the photo.
