Felix Link is the son of Princess Maria-Assunta of Liechtenstein and Harald Link. Princess Maria-Assunta of Liechtenstein is a first cousin of Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein.

Question about Prince Gaston of Orleans' godparents: the little Prince has six godparents: three godfathers - the Duke of Castro, the Duke of Angouleme, Count François-Pierre de Faydeau - and three godmothers - Princess Astrid of Belgium, Magdalena de Tornos and Countess of El Abra.
The Prince has been christened as Catholic - of course - but according to the Code of Canon Law (Can. 873) "there is to be only one male sponsor or one female sponsor or one of each."
So my question is: how is it possible that Gaston has 3 godfathers and 3 godmothers?

It's because they're Catholic; and Canon Law provides that one may have only one or two godpartnes, and if two they must be a godfather and a godmother.
This rule is followed only by Roman Catholic Church, that's why those baptized in another Church can have more godparents.

There's only one case that allows a Catholic to have more than two godparents, and it is when on of them is not Catholic; only in this case, child can have more than two godparents as the non-Catholic one can partecipate to the christening as a witness together with another Catholic godparent; i.e. Princess Eleonore of Belgium, who has two godmothers, CP Victoria of Sweden and Princess Claire of Belgium: being Victoria Lutheran, she can't be the only godmother, so she partecipated to the christening as witness together with Claire (who is Catholic) who partecipated as godmother.

These are wonderful pictures. Thank you so much sharing them with us. I have never seen them before. I am so conviced that the Swedish Crown Princess will be a perfect mother, just as Mathilde is :)

Hahahaha, you may be right :) But I am sure the Swedish Royal House PR department will make us believe she will be one perfect happy mother (which I truefully hope she will be) but who knows what is going on behind closed doors? :)
