3. Also, a soldier fainted while waiting for Charles and Camilla to arrive. (See slideshow.) This story keeps getting stranger.
What I find strange is that this was printed.

I'm not at all surprised. The British press knows next to nothing about foreign royal families and it shows. They just don't care enough to do their research properly.

Dont disagree but that's from the Huffington Post. I don't think the US papers get it either

I assumed that it was from the Huffington Post UK staff since it was about the BRF. In any case, my statement is equally applicable to the American press as it is to the British.

Haakon's sister Martha Louise did attend the dinner as well as Mette Marit (who was mentioned earlier in the article).
Here's a group picture. Martha Louise is on the far right.

Thank you I missed that but they obviously have no idea who MM is.

These days the only member of the BRF who does wear tiaras abroad is the Queen herself.
|
Except when they're at somebody's wedding where all the guests are wearing tiaras (female guests, that is!)

Agreed, though typically, only the Wessex's are sent to those events.

Thanks a lot for the videos, fairy tale!
A nice article about the tour: Prince Charles, Camilla begin Scandinavia tour
Quote:
There, they were introduced to members of the Labor Party's youth league, which was holding a summer camp on the island of Utoya when right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik gunned down 69 people on July 22. A few hours earlier, he had killed eight people in a car bomb attack on government buildings in Oslo centre.
A crowd of some 100 people cheered when the royals' car pulled up at the centre, some waving Union Jacks and shouting "Camilla, Camilla" in the bright spring sunshine. Inside, they met about a dozen survivors who had revisited the island after the killings.
"It was very brave of you," Camilla told a group of them. "The most important thing is to be able to talk about it, and talking to each other, between yourselves." Eskil Pedersen, the 28-year-old leader of the youth league, described the meeting with Charles and Camilla as "pleasant," adding that they were "warm, well-informed, informal" and had paid attention to them.

And to me that says everything about this trip: friends visiting friends and all of them enjoying it.
I'm really happy to see this since Norway and UK are the two countries I have a secret passion for (perhaps, not so secret)
