Opening of the new Opera, April 2008
King Harald will open the new operahouse on April 12th.
Forside | Den Norske Opera & Ballett
Among the guests there will be
- Queen Margrethe II of Denmark
- Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden
- President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson of Iceland
- President of Stortinget Thorbjørn Jagland

Impressive guest list.
Can't say I'm thrilled about the new opera, but they're certainly managing to put a royal party together for the opening.

Princess Astrid or Princess Märtha Louise aren't mentioned... so they'll probably won't attend.  I keep my fingers crossed to see them as well.
It would be a bit weird to have foreign Royal Guests (Margrethe and Victoria), but the own Royal stay away from the event. 
Does anyone know what kind of dresses we can expect?
Will it be a black-tie and galadresses event?
Or probably a Tiara-event?

The opera webpage: Forside | Den Norske Opera & Ballett says that it is a gala performance, but what that means in terms of dresses or tiaras… I presume we're in the same category as the opening of the 1905-2005 anniversary, at Drammen theatre, (only without the historical aspect) where the gentlemen were in black-tie, and the women in long dresses.

I'm hoping we'll see some shots of Mette-Marit without the jacket, because the dress looks like a really nice color. Victoria looks stunning!
