Christmas with the Norwegian Royal Family

:previous: A lovely Christmas photo from the NRF as usual, but sad that Mette-Marit couldn't attend. Hope she feels better soon!
And Haakon told the Norwegian News Agency (NTB) yesterday that ''Det går fint med henne'' (''it goes well with her'').

--------------------

The King and Queen will spend Christmas Eve (the main day of celebrations) at The Royal Lodge Kongsseteren on the outskirts of Oslo as usual. There, they will most likely (I think) be joined by Märtha, the Behn-girls and the Durek-dude (who is back in Norway).

The CP-Family will be at their cabin in Uvdal, as they usually do every other year!

The King and Queen attended the Christmas Service in Holmenkollen Chapel today. They were accompanied by Emma Tallulah Behn, their youngest grandchild.

So we can assume that also Märtha and Durek have celebrated Christmas with the King and Queen. But in contrast to in 2019, when they both attended the service, they were now left behind at the Royal Lodge, which is only a 5-minute drive from the Chapel (or perhaps they were with friends or had gone home).

So why weren't Märtha and Durek there? Well, most likely the King and the court didn't think it was a good idea to have them there after the controversies surrounding Durek in recent weeks.

The CP-Family (including Mette-Marit who is back from COVID) attended the Christmas Service in Uvdal Church yesterday.

There are no photos of them in the article BTW (think there are in the local newspaper, but you must be a subscriber to watch it, which I'm not).

Emma is sitting rather lonely behind the chairs (with high backs) of king and queen.

Emma is an interesting blend of both her parents after formerly not seeming to resemble her mother much.

Nice to see them all at the Christmas Service at Holmenkollen Chapel:today!
