some color photos (de post)
Hi!
I smell a rat here.
Phillip was baptised at least 14 days after his birth and in a church in the centre of Brussels BUT Laurent was baptised 2 or 3 days after his birth and in the chapel of the castle Belvedère. Then Laurent's baptism, so soon after his birth and 'at home', was not the 'usual thing' for those days.
Why the difference? Do you know? What about Astrid (the daughter)?
Thank you!
Alejandro

Philippe was baptized twice, first a few days after his birth at home at the Belvédère and later in a public ceremony in church. Philippe was the first child of the "new generation" at that time and a boy, so a possible heir, that's why his baptism had more public importance.

Thank you!
I didn't know that people could be baptised twice!
And sorry, I didn't want to suggest anything wrong either.

What a beautiful child...in my opinion. He certainly became QUITE handsome. With two parents that looked like this...

Thats understandable. I simply adore Elisabeth and Albert was very good looking:wub:. (Photo obviously lifted from an internet database)

Marie-Jose's hair was just unbelievable. I love it though.

Very true, wasn´t she nicknamed ´fuzzy´ by British soldiers who saw her at the villa of her parents during WWI?

LOL...Oh my God!! I have never seen that picture of Marie Josee's hair!

I am speechless.

I dont know where the hair came from. Neither of her parents had had it as children...nor her brothers. It was truely unique. She was a beautiful child and young women though.
heres another similar shot.

My Charles looked just like his mother...and quite like her Wittelsbach family esp her father Karl Theodore (Sisi's brother).

Looking at Prince Charles at this picture I see resemblance with Prince Laurent and Prince Filip when the were children.

Here's a couple of short videos of a cute 1-year-old, then Prince Philippe
Here, on the occasion of his first birthday (15th April 1961)
And a few months later, on holiday in Italy
