Great to see such good pictures from the celebrations! Thanks Squidgy for posting these, they are very nice. It's nice to see Queen Beatrix wear a more "normal" hat, she hasn't gone "all out" in her fascination for hat designs this time :) This light pink colour also suits her really well.

Congratulations to Her Majesty!
Congratulations to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix!! I hope she is happy and enjoying the celebration of her silver jubilee. She has had much to cope with in the death of her husband and mother in so short a period of time.
She looks radiant in the pictures and I do like the hat!

Yes GrandDuchess and Tiaraprin, I really like HM's hat too. It's a more traditional style for her. (However I must confess I also like the more creative designs she often wears, but understand they are not always to everyone's liking). But I think the best thing she "wore" yesterday was her smile - she really seemed to be enjoying herself.:)

So anyone know when will Her Majesty's next engagement?
Will there be any Thanksgiving Service for Her Majesty's Silver Jubilee in The Netherlands like Queen Elizabeth's in Great Britain?

August 17 2005 As part of her Jubilee celebrations, the Queen paid a visit to the Netherlands Architecture Institute. In tribute to HM's 25 years on the throne, the Institute has reconstructed an exhibit very similar to the one that they created for Queen Wilhelmina's Jubilee in 1923. Also, as part of the celebration, they have an exhibit highlighting the last 25 years of Dutch architecture. More at: http://www.nai.nl/e/calendar/activities/royal_e.html

August 20 2005 As part of Sail 2005, the Queen christened a boat "Beatrix". The sailboat was given as a gift to the Queen in honour of her Silver Jubilee by the Prinses Beatrix Fonds. It is meant to be used by the physically disabled.

Great pictures as always Squidgy! Thanks for posting.
I agree that Queen Beatrix looks wonderful in the green and purple outfit. The colors suit her.
