King Frederik II had Kronborg Castle at Elsinore built.

Princess Augusta of Denmark (1580-1639) was the daughter of King Frederik II and Queen Sophie.
Augusta married Duke John Adolf of Holstein-Gottorp. At Husum Castle she promoted music and gardening.
